Reporting to the Corporate Affairs Manager, this position will assist the marketing and communications team to develop and author feature articles on upcoming events and campaigns to promote racing in Queensland. You will work from a combination of locations including race meetings as well as from our office in Deagon, developing content for social media and media releases as well as publications.


To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have experience in writing and developing editorial content, including media releases.
  • Be proactive and a forward thinker, always on the lookout for a story
  • Have a minimum 2 years’ experience, in a journalistic role or in PR and corporate affairs.
  • Have excellent communications skills, with an ability to maintain relationships with stakeholders, clubs and industry participants

Whilst this position does not require a qualification, a Degree in Public Relations or Journalism is highly desirable. Experience in or knowledge of the racing industry would be advantageous.
