CAD Operator – Part time

Minimum 20 hours per week

 
We are looking for an experienced CAD Operator to join Racing Queensland (RQ) as we embark on an exciting new era in the highly competitive wagering and racing industry. The Board and CEO are committed to achieving outstanding outcomes for the Queensland racing industry. Reporting to the Infrastructure Projects Manager, this newly created role is responsible for creating Autocad drawings and Illustrative documents aligned with Racing Queensland’s 20-year Infrastructure plan.
 
You will be accountable for managing the accurate and timely design and execution of Autocad drawings and technical illustrative documentations of high-value projects that are designed to deliver long-term sustainable economic growth to the racing industry and the state of Queensland.
 
You will have a minimum of 5 years in a CAD Autocad position and possess the ability to work to strict timeframes.
 
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Racing Queensland Infrastructure team during a time of expansion as we strive to achieve our strategic objectives.

Contracts Administration Officer

Reporting to the Infrastructure Projects Manager, this newly created role is responsible for providing high-level administration and procurement support to the Infrastructure Projects team for projects aligned with RQ’s 20-year Infrastructure plan.
 
You will be accountable for undertaking the administration and procurement support function for the Infrastructure Projects team and ensuring administrative and procurement work undertaken is in accordance with the relevant legislation, standards, policies, and procedures.
 
You will have strong administration experience in an infrastructure or construction environment and exhibit high interpersonal agility with an ability to effectively organize and prioritize work.

Racing Infrastructure Officer

 
We’re looking for someone just like you to join Racing Queensland (RQ) as we embark on an exciting era in the highly competitive wagering and racing industry. As part of this strategy, the organisation is looking to boost its organisational capability in order to deliver on its mission to be Queensland’s favourite sport and Australia’s best racing jurisdiction.
Reporting to the Racing Infrastructure Manager, this position will provide support to racing clubs for the maintenance of thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing facilities.
 
The Racing Infrastructure Officer will be accountable for;
 

  • Coordinating and undertaking inspections at intra-state racing venues in Queensland to ensure compliance with minimum standards and statutory obligations.
  • Identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; implementing corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and providing general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
  • Managing inspection outcomes in accordance with the appropriate minimum standards.
 

While the position is located at Deagon, there will be regular intrastate travel required.
 
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • The ability to regularly travel
  • Experience in providing advice on facilities maintenance and compliance
  • A proven high level of interpersonal skills, particularly in liaising and negotiating with a cross section of industry stakeholders and customers
  • Experience in developing and implementing repairs/maintenance projects
  • The ability to write reports and correspondence

Club Business Operations Partner – 9 months Fixed term

$90,000 - $100,000 inclusive of superannuation

 
We’re looking for a highly motivated individual to join Racing Queensland (RQ) as we embark on an exciting era in the highly competitive wagering and racing industry. The Board and CEO are committed to achieving outstanding outcomes for the Queensland racing industry. As part of this strategy, the organisation is looking to boost its organisational capability in order to deliver on its mission to be Queensland’s favourite sport and Australia’s best racing jurisdiction.
Reporting to the Compliance & Licensing Manager, this position will manage the development and implementation of a new financial model to Queensland racing clubs. This will involve consultation and engagement with various stakeholders at racing venues over the state of Queensland. 
 
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • The ability to regularly travel to RQ clubs as requested
  • Proven high level of interpersonal skills, particularly in liaising and negotiating with a cross section of industry stakeholders and customers
  • The ability to analyze and interpret financial data
  • Excellent report writing ability
  • Business, Financial or related discipline degree

Exercising your commercial acumen you will work closely with racing clubs to identify and analyse commercial trends including opportunities and challenges experienced across the industry.
