RACE ONE


CHEAP TINT (1) looked to take them all the way in claiming company 3 starts back and it was only the in-form INA GREAT PLACE that could get past him. Only 10m from COME CULLECT at his next start he burnt early in a sub 27 opening panel last start off gate 6 when holding 3^rd. He will be mighty hard to run down.

IMA MORVEN LAD (5) has started 5 times since returning from a long break and been no closer than gate 6 on any occasion. His 1^st up run was a tidy effort when 11m from SUPALINER and in 4 runs since has taken on some handy performers in conditioned events. If there is a danger to the leader, it looks to be him.

EXCEPTIONAL MACH (8) was only 4m from BROADWAY PLAYBOY 2 starts back and was luckless last time in a conditioned event. He will get the perfect trail and although he tends to show his best when lighting the lamps, he will be poised and ready for the closing shot here.

MAX RICHTER (6) has the wide gate to contend with but should appreciate this type of claimer. Buried away last start and never really seeing space behind BETTABE PERFECT, he has worked hard in the run at his couple prior to that. With even luck back to claiming grade he can feature,

RACE TWO

NUREYEV (6) was buried away on the pegs last start and sprouted wings in the closing stages to get within 1.5m of the winner MAYWYNS BEST. That was his 1^st run for the Tony Turpin yard and with his form in these type of claimers handy including a 3^rd here 3 starts back, he can sneak away with this.

SHAREAPASSION (4) gets back to claiming grade after 2 runs in conditioned events with the most recent when luckless behind ANOTHER BROADWAY. With not a great deal of speed drawn inside, he can look to take control of this and will take some catching if able to pinch a panel.

INA GREAT PLACE (8) lands a tricky gate yet should relish the return to claiming grade. After completing a hat-trick of wins including the last claiming challenge final, his past 2 runs have been full of merit. If able to see space in time, he is right in the mix.

PROBY ONE (7) returns to Qld after 3 starts in NSW spread across 5 months. Last seen at Menangle back in Feb, he has trialled locally to prepare where he did it well within himself. He will take good improvement on whatever he can achieve here.

RACE THREE

CLINTAL DO (5) took a while to warm up this campaign but once he did, the performances have been superb. Last start he rolled forward from gate 4 and took them all the way in the 2360m Armidale Cup running sub 30 panels throughout. With wins in 4 of his past 5, he looks ready to continue the streak.

ALWAYS MY MATE (7) started from gate 5 at Redcliffe last start over the 2280m trip and was working home wide off the track when claiming the silver behind the all-the-way winner WATTLEBANK FLYER. That followed a strong track record run at Marburg and he has claims in this despite the gate.

REDS JET STAR (3) was swooping late here 3 starts back when getting within a half-neck of victory behind COME CULLECT. That followed a luckless run when only beaten a neck. Off the 2^nd line at her past 2 starts she can settle handy here and is right in the mix.

BODHI TREE (8) did his share of work last time out in strong sections when finishing down the line behind LUCIFERS LEGEND. He will have the options as the sole 2^nd line runner and with improvement from that which was his 1^st back in Qld he can be an improver.

RACE FOUR

OUR MAJOR DAY (6) was last seen over the 2138m trip back on Mar 12 where he returned a tidy effort to get within 8m of the winner SOMEPARTYSOMEWHERE who set the tempo from the front. That followed a stylish win at Inverell and despite a tricky gate he looks to have a class edge here.

ALL AFTER ME (3) returned his best effort this campaign when claiming the bronze here last week. Rolling forward from gate 4 to face the breeze over the 2138m trip he was fighting to the line when 2m from the winner SLIPPERY JADE. He can settle handy from this gate and is in the mix.

JUSTATIC (9) will be close to a fitness peak following 4 runs back from a spell and led them deep into the stretch last start. Finding the front off gate 2 over the middle distance it was only the cheap run from HANDSOME MAJOR off his back that beat him home. He is a trifecta player from this alley.

HAVETOGETAWAYMORE (5) was only 8m from GET IN THE GROOVE in a mares qualifier last start when settling with running line cover. Getting home well 3 starts back when beaten 6m behind THE GUN ROCKSTAR she will be looking for cover and swooping late.

RACE FIVE

ROCK WITH SAM (2) had been racing without a great deal of luck and still going close and 2 starts back was charging late from well back in the pack to grab the silver behind BETTOR BE LUCKY. Last start from gate 7 he gained a great trail into the contest and finished best. The improved gate is a big plus and he looks hard to stop.

INVINCIBLE LOXTON (4) has been freshened since his last outing when doing plenty of work in the run to role forward over the 2138m trip and fought hard to the line. That followed an impressive win where he took up the running and got home in a pair of sub 28 panels. He can issue a challenge.

ASHLEYS ANGEL (1) started from this gate 2 starts back and with the cosy trip made full use of the passing lane to arrive in time for a half-neck victory. Forget her last start when striking wheel issues, she will be getting the soft trip here and be ready for the last shot.

HANDSOME MAJOR (8) took the trail from gate 1 last start in an Aspirational consolation and was able to finish best to land a 1.5m victory. He will get a similar trip here albeit 1 position further back and can look for the gaps in the closing stages.

RACE SIX

GOT THE GOODS (1) has been top 3 at his past 3 in succession including a 3^rd last start when sent to the post in red figures. Rolling forward from gate 5 he worked to the front but couldn’t put them away with RUHTREBO landing the win. Run down by DARBY BRIGHTS 2 starts back, he looks to get his chance.

DARBY BRIGHTS (5) has been in the money 5 from 5 this season including a pair of wins. The 1^st of those wins came when taking the trail on GOT THE GOODS and then landing the knockout blow in the stretch. Only beaten a head in a Gold Pot final last start behind RED CHARMER, she is the threat.

MAHALO (2) was working up to a win with placings in 3 of her previous 4 starts and landed the breakthrough last start when able to lead all the way at Redcliffe for a comfortable win. She can drop down to the pegs early for the cheap ride and be ready to strike late.

ULTIMATE AD (6) resumes from a freshen and was last seen at Armidale when he struck trouble in the run. His run at Inverell 2 starts back was a tidy effort and despite a wide gate he can be in the money here.

RACE SEVEN

LAVROS SEGIL (7) looks to get in here nicely and with 30m can look for his 1^st victory of the year. He took on the open class performers in a Discretionary last start when holding 2^nd behind MISTER GUNSEN which followed a strong run when flashing late after starting from 40m at Redcliffe.

SOMEONES SINGING (1) BROKE THROUGH FOR VICTORY AT Redcliffe 3 starts back when leading throughout and keeping the tempo even throughout. Forget her next run at Marburg, she again led them up here last time and was only grabbed late. She can lead for a long way here.

JUSTABITLIKEMUM (2) started in red figures last start when racing in the pocket trail and finishing 5m from ZAIRE DIVA. She will take good benefit from that run which was her 1^st outing since the McNeil final and can give this a shake.

LANSBURY (6) started from the 30m tape here 4 starts back and via the passing lane was only 4m from the winner ZAIRE DIVA and followed that with a 2^nd. A safe beginner she will be finding a good position and is one for the exotics.
