RACE ONE

LANCELOT BROMAC (1)
found a better target last start and despite working hard in the run was fighting hard to the line to finish just 3m from the winner BET IM SPECIAL. His previous 2 starts were in much stronger company and back to this grade will be right in the mix in a wide open contest.

FIFTH EDITION (5) was a mid-week winner here when making the most of a cosy trip from the pocket trail and sprinting sharply once the gap arrived. A close 2nd at Redcliffe 2 starts back his 4 starts since arriving in Qld have all had merit and with even luck he can feature in this.

MACHIN OUT (8) hit the line in good order last start in the Rising Stars final taken out by PSCYHEDELIC after settling a long way back when unable to find position in the run off gate 5. He will get a much easier trip here and will be ready to sprint when the gaps present.

REDS JET STAR (4) is doing everything right but just land a knockout blow. Last start she was looking for space when 5m in arrears of CLINTAL DO, was buried away 2 starts back and 4 back was charging late after going back from gate 7. Just needs a pinch of luck to be right in this.

SELECTIONS: LANCELOT BROMAC (1), FIFTH EDITION (5), MACHIN OUT (8), REDS JET STAR (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 1-4-5-8

RACE TWO

EXCEPTIONAL MACH (9) made the most of getting back to this grade of claimer and with a perfect trip in the heats used the passing lane to sprint sharply to take the prize. Luckless off a wide gate in a conditioned race 2 starts back, he will be relying on some mid-race tempo but is worth a shot.

MAX RICHTER (12) has the tough alley to overcome but is right in contention in this grade, In the heat he was sent forward from gate 6 and applied the heat outside the leader and fought to the line, with only the passing lane winning EXCEPTIONAL MACH getting past. He is right in the fight.

INA GREAT PLACE (6) is the form claimer in Qld at the moment with wins in 4 of his past 6 starts including victory in the last claiming challenge final. His heat win was a top effort when not risking a pocket from inside the 2nd line he was produced 3-wide and was too strong. Can take this.

RORY MACH (2) was luckless in the heats when snookered by a tiring leader he desperately needed to get out but had nowhere to go. Charging late when he did see space, it was a good closing sprint. He will be coiled and ready to strike when he can find open track.

SELECTIONS: EXCEPTIONAL MACH (9), MAX RICHTER (12), INA GREAT PLACE (6), RORY MACH (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MAX RICHTER (12) each-way

RACE THREE

MACH ALERT (2) will be further tightened after his latest run when 2nd up from a break. Resuming with a comfortable all the way FFA win he was set a big task last start when set alight from gate 6 and forced to do plenty of work in the breeze. He can dictate here and bounce back.

BETTABE PERFECT (1) was hitting the line in good order to claim the bronze behind MACH ALERT 3 starts back and franked the strength of that run with a strong closing finish from gate 6 to land the win at his next start. His run was good last start and with the cosy trip will be ready to strike.

SMOOTH SHOWGIRL (8) will be buried away in the run here and be awaiting open space. Taken back from gate 6 here 2 starts back she closed strongly once angled into open air for a nice win. Too fara back last start she will be probing for gaps.

JOYS A BABE (3) was rewarded 2 starts back when finding the right gate in the right field to lead all the way. Buried away last week she might need to work in the run here but she is a quality mare that will not shirk the task.

SELECTIONS: MACH ALERT (2), BETTABE PERFECT (1), SMOOTH SHOWGIRL (8), JOYS A BABE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MACH ALERT (2) to win

RACE FOUR

Interesting race to line them up here with the return of a monthly M0 event and with this the first on the programme FRANKIE ROCKS (6) looks to have their measure. A last start winner that moved him into the local FFA ranks, he finished hard from back in the pack running some powerful closing fractions. Finding position is key here but he looks to have them covered.

VILLAGE WITCH (2) sat in the pocket trail last start and once the gap opened was able to get the verdict over a brave GANGSTER BOY. 2 starts back she closed strongly from the running line when 3m from MATTGREGOR and with the good gate can look for the pegs and can dictate.

IMA GRUMPY POSSUM (1) does her best work when given a cosy trip and saved for a closing shot and gets conditions to suit from the draw. Successful in that pattern in 2 of her past 5 starts she will be taking the last shot.

MAFUTA VAUTIN (11) did well 3 starts back when a long way out of position at the start and ending all hope but chased valiantly. A stylish winner 2 back when moving around to the breeze from a 2nd line gate, he was luckless last start when carted back by a tiring leader. He is right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: FRANKIE ROCKS (6), VILLAGE WITCH (2), IMA GRUMPY POSSUM (1), MAFUTA VAUTIN (11)
SUGGESTED BET: FRANKIE ROCKS (6) to win

RACE FIVE

THE SHADY ONE (5) settled back in the pack last start from his 2nd line gate and had the best closing sectionals when swooping home wide out to grab the bronze. Luckless 2 starts back when buried away, he has enough early speed to find position and in what looks a shade easier can land the prize.

LENNY THE LEGEND (3) has now had 3 starts back from a break and been in the money at all 3. Taking on the Rising Stars final last week he found running line cover and was hitting the line in good order behind PSYCHEDELIC. From a good position here he can finish in the money once again.

FEEL THE FAITH (4) will strip fitter from her run here last week when resuming from a break and looking to lead all the way over the mile she led every step bar the most important one when grabbed on the line. She can look to fire the early shot and if finding the pegs will take stopping.

SAMS A CHAMP (9) is having a great season that was rewarded when landing a qualifying win last week by making the most of the ace gate to take them all the way. He closed out strongly 2 starts back and with even luck will be sprinting hard.

SELECTIONS: THE SHADY ONE (5), LENNY THE LEGEND (3), FEEL THE FAITH (4), SAMS A CHAMP (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 3-4-5-9

RACE SIX

CLINTAL DO (7)
has the tough gate to negotiate here, but he has really started to put it together and will shoot for his 6th win from his past 7 starts. From gate 5 last start he settled back in the pack and when launching his run quickly picked them up and put them away. This will be a test, but he can pass with flying colours.

TOMEARA (2) has been in the money at his past 3 and was a tough winner 5 starts back. Last week he found the line strongly over the 2138m trip from back in the pack and that followed a half-head 2nd to BET IM SPECIAL. With a gate advantage over the main dangers, he can take his shot.

SOMEPARTYSOMEWHERE (12) has the tough gate but is racing in great form and can’t be excluded. Last start he was attacking the line in a Rising Stars final when 3m from PSYCHEDELIC and can challenge.

RUATO BAY (1) claimed the bronze last week in the same race as TOMEARA when sitting in the pocket trail. That followed a passing lane win at Redcliffe and with the cosy trip has place claims.

SELECTIONS: CLINTAL DO (7), TOMEARA (2), SOMEPARTYSOMEWHERE (12), RUATO BAY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: CLINTAL DO (7) to win

RACE SEVEN

MATTGREGOR (11) will be 3rd up this prep and despite the 2nd line gate he looks to have the measure of his rivals here. Resuming in with a clinical victory in slick time over the mile, he was beaten from the gate last start in a mid-week FFA but the effort was full of merit. Too classy here.

REMEMBER THEM (2) has been struggling to find conditions to suit and at his past 2 has struck gates 7 and 11. His run 5 starts back was good when taking on open company and from the good alley here can look to make the most of his chances.

ALLELUIA (6) resumes from a freshen and was last seen 7 weeks back when buried away on the pegs and with a pair of sub 28 closing panels run from the front was always up against it. The gate makes it a wee bit tricky, but he is always around the money in this type of race.

ANYCHANCE (9) pressed forward from gate 3 last start and bullied his way to the front and once in control over the 2138m was never in danger. He can press through at the start to find position and has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: MATTGREGOR (11), REMEMBER THEM (2), ALLELUIA (6), ANYCHANCE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: MATTGREGOR (11) to win

RACE EIGHT

FIRE ONE (3)
will strip fitter for her run in last week’s mares qualifier when resuming from a spell. With no lead available she was forced to breeze and fought down to the wire for the bronze. From the gate she can look to press on to the pegs and from the front will take some catching.

IRISHTOWN BABE (1) was hitting the line well in the same race last week and after being checked for running was upgraded to 4th on protest. That followed a tidy effort at Narrabri and from this gate will get the perfect trip and be ready to offer when the gaps appear.

ROCKNROLL AMBER (7) has the tricky gate to negotiate but should appreciate this type of race back to mares only company. From gate 10 at Redcliffe on Wednesday she closed strongly and will be in the thick of things here.

SKYLARHAIN (4) led them up last week form gate 1 and was trying to fight them off and it was only the passing lane winner ROCKONBYE that could get past. From a tricky gate she has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: FIRE ONE (3), IRISHTOWN BABE (1), ROCKNROLL AMBER (7), SKYLARHAIN (4)
SUGGESTED BET: FIRE ONE (3) to win

RACE NINE

ARGYLE BEACH (12)
was a heat winner of the Goldstrike Series at Marburg when closing out strongly and then her run in the final was full of merit from the 10m tape. In the heat of this series she worked home strongly wide out on the track to score a stylish win and she looks to be a classy mare.

VILLAGE CRUISER (1) followed the speed from inside the 2nd line in his heat and claimed 2nd behind LUCKY NED PEPPER. He has enough early speed to have options here and with a soft trip can look to podium.

NEWMERELLA SHARKIE (9) took on a Marburg 2200m event 2 starts back and struck trouble yet was still there on the line and was only beaten 1.5m. 2nd to ARGYLE BEACH in his heat, he should find good position in the run and with a powerful finish will be swooping home.

LUCKY NED PEPPER (4) was building towards a win and after 3 successive placed runs was able to cash-in for a victory in the heats. Stepping out for new trainer Adam Richardson for the 1st time it was a tough effort in good time with a 10m margin. He can spice this up.

SELECTIONS: ARGYLE BEACH (12), VILLAGE CRUISER (1), NEWMERELLA SHARKIE (9), LUCKY NED PEPPER (4)
SUGGESTED BET: ARGYLE BEACH (12) to win

RACE TEN

IVANOV (3)
was 3rd up from a break last start at Redcliffe and was able to overcome a 40m impost over the 1780m trip to score a good win. He rises in class for this assignment but with good starting manners can ping the tapes and look to take control form the front and fight them off.

SPRINGBANK EDEN (4) took on a mobile event over the long trip here 2 starts back and after being forced to do plenty of work in the run was fighting all the way to the line to go under a head behind OUR OVERANOVA. He looks well placed from the front line and with a safe start is a huge threat.

OUR OVERANOVA (7) is always around the money in these type of races and while the big handicaps make it hard, he is such a strong and consistent trotter he will be right in the thick of things again.

LAVROS SEGIL (1) has placed his past 3 starts with his run 2 starts back from the pocket trail a good effort when 2nd to MISTER GUNSEN over the 2138m trip. With another soft trip he can feature.

SELECTIONS: IVANOV (3), SPRINGBANK EDEN (4), OUR OVERANOVA (7), LAVROS SEGIL (1)
SUGGESTED BET:
