RACE TWO

JUMPING JOLT (3) has a tidy record here on the triangle with 2 wins and 2 minors in 5 appearances. Snagged back from gate 7 over the AP mile last start, he was hitting the line in nice style to be 6m from the winner. In for the fight when forced to race tough 2 starts back, he can swoop over the top.

COLOMBIAN GOLD (4) showed her speed off the arm last start and setting the tempo was only collared in the closing stages when 2m from the winner. Forget her run 2 starts back, that had followed successive placings and if able to get across them, will give them a target to chase.

OUTLAW FELLA (2) returns from a freshen after his latest start when forced to race tough and fading out to be mid-field. He can hustle hard to look for the pegs and if able to repel the challenge, will be in for the fight.

CHERRYS THE BEST (6) may have been closer than the 4m margin behind MAYWYNS BEST if receiving the gaps when needed. That followed a tough run over the AP mile and she can place here.

SELECTIONS: JUMPING JOLT (3), COLOMBIAN GOLD (4), OUTLAW FELLA (2), CHERRYS THE BEST (6)
SUGGESTED BET: JUMPING JOLT (3) to win

RACE THREE

COMMODORE JUJON (4) will be further tightened from his latest assignment when 2nd up from a spell. Snagged back from gate 7 on return, he was hitting dead-ends in the stretch behind the talented SPEECH IS SILVER. Not far away last start, he is a 4-time winner here on the triangle and gets a chance here.

CC JONES (8) was looking for a hat-trick last start when taking on a qualifier from the 2nd line. Taking his shot up the passing lane after securing the pocket trail, he went within a half-neck of victory. A strong all the way winner in good time here 2 starts back, with the right trip, he can arrive.

TAYLOR HOOD (1) will need to hustle hard to protect the poles here and if keeping them wide, his stocks will rise. Only 7m away last start after a tough run, he is in the mix.

MACHIN OUT (6) rolled forward from gate 5 last start and was content to face the breeze before putting them away to score a deserved 1m victory. The gate hurts, but he is an exotic hope.

SELECTIONS: COMMODORE JUJON (4), CC JONES (8), TAYLOR HOOD (1), MACHIN OUT (6)
SUGGESTED BET: COMMODORE JUJON (4) to win

RACE FOUR

Responsible for a huge run last start over the AP 2138m trip, ARBIT MAJOR (5) gets back to the triangle where 9 of his 10 wins have been recorded. A handy winner 1st up since joining the Donny Smith barn 2 starts back, he lost all chance last start after an error but chased hard to grab 4th. He can redeem that here.

SEA HAWKE (3) has been in the money at 3 of his past 4 starts, the latest when wide off the track and hitting the front, was nabbed right in the wire when beaten an eyelash. In the money at 7 of his 9 appearances here at the track, settling handy he can ask some questions.

EYE SEE DOUBLE (8) was 1st up in Qld last start when doing it the tough way over the sprint trip and proving too strong. Kept fresh since that outing back in mid-February, he has podium claims here.

ONLY IN ROME (6) doesn’t have any favours from the wide gate, yet should find this a shade below his past few starts. Working home in good order in a qualifier last start, he can be chiming in late.

SELECTIONS: ARBIT MAJOR (5), SEA HAWKE (3), EYE SEE DOUBLE (8), ONLY IN ROME (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

BEAUDACIOUS (7) had the speed to get across the face of the field from gate 5 last start over the mile in trying to take them all the way. Looking to fight them off as they swung for home, it was only the smart TRUE STEPPER that was able to run him down. With a rub of the green he can make the closing shot a winning one.

BETTOR WATCH HIM (4) started fav last start from the 2nd line and from well back in the pack was trying to launch a bid when finishing 10m from the winner. Eased back from gate 5 the start prior and trying to work home late, he can look to press forward from this gate to throw out a challenge.

FEEL THE THUNDER (1) set the speed from gat e1 over the AP mile 2 starts back but couldn’t save off the challengers. 6m in arrears of TRUE STEPPER last time out, he will be gripping on here.

ABBEY DIADEMA (2) was building towards a maiden breaking win after successive placings and capitalised last start when finishing best to claim a 6m victory. This is tougher, yet she can feature.

SELECTIONS: BEAUDACIOUS (7), BETTOR WATCH HIM (4), FEEL THE THUNDER (1), ABBEY DIADEMA (2)
SUGGESTED BET: BEAUDACIOUS (7) to win

RACE SIX

MEGA STAR (4)
will take benefit from his latest appearance when returning from a freshen. Eased back from gate 6 over the sprint trip, he didn’t have the cleanest run in transit to finish mid-field. A smart winner here 5 starts back when charging home from a long way back, he can arrive in this.

THANKHEAVNFORGIRLS (2) was sent forward from gate 4 here 2 starts back and despite doing it tough in the run, proved too strong in forging clear to a 6m victory. She found them a bi tout of reach last start over the AP mile and looking to press forward here can be in the fight.

WILD ABOUT TOWN (7) worked to the front from gate 2 last start and taking control was able to get through an easy opening half, allowing him to have too much up the sleeve to score. He will be probing for gaps here.

COAST WARNING (6) was 2nd up from a break last start and chased gamely to hold on for 3rd in a Trot Rods scamper. The gate hurts, but with the right cart into the contest can be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: MEGA STAR (4), THANKHEAVNFORGIRLS (2), WILD ABOUT TOWN (7), COAST WARNING (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MEGA STAR (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

CHANCELESS CENTURY (5) is still searching for what is proving an elusive victory after 19 attempts to break his maiden tag. Locked away 3 back from inside the 2nd line last start, he was solid to the line when 5m from the winner. That followed a tidy 3rd behind FLO RYDA. Back to maiden company he gets every chance.

ILLBEWATCHING (3) scored the 1st placing of his career last start when holding on for the silver behind CHROMOZONE. Showing his early speed, he found the pegs before releasing and chased hard to be 2m from the winner. Using that early speed, he can build off his latest effort.

ELSIES GIRL (1) has placed in 3 of her past 4 starts and lands the gate to get the right trip again. Not suited last start from gate 4 and too far back in the pack, she will be probing for the gaps here.

DANCING IN MANOLOS (8) is on the short back-up after looking a possible contender at Marburg on Thursday. Runner-up her previous 2 starts, with the right run through early, she can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: CHANCELESS CENTURY (5), ILLBEWATCHING (3), ELSIES GIRL (1), DANCING IN MANOLOS (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CHANCELESS CENTURY (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

In a race where most of these are looking to recapture winning form, it might be left to PERFECT FEELING (1) to make the most of his early speed and the good gate. Not suited over the longer 2040m trip last time out, his previous 4 starts were from wide and 2nd line gates. Back to the sprint trip, he will be gripping on.

REDDY FIRE (7) is better suited when allowed to roll and despite looking set to be locked away here, probably won’t get back to an easier contest than this assignment. Mid-field from gate 4 last start behind CHROMOZONE, he didn’t have the cleanest run in transit 2 starts back. Just needs some luck.

KID CALVERT (5) was locked away against the markers from inside the 2nd line last start and chased home to be mid-field over the 2040m. The wide gate is a stinger, but he can chime in.

THE LAST DRAGON (2) didn’t have much work in his favour last start after taking the pocket trail over the sprint trip. Settling in a handy spot, he can look to fill the minors in this line-up.

SELECTIONS: PERFECT FEELING (1), REDDY FIRE (7), KID CALVERT (5), THE LAST DRAGON (2)
SUGGESTED BET: PERFECT FEELING / REDDY FIRE (1/7) quinella

RACE NINE

TOANUI SPIRIT (5) features in a stable switch and will line up under the care of Trent Dawson for the 1st time. Too far back and not entirely suited over the AP 2138m last start, that had followed a tough run over the AP mile. Despite the tricky gate, she can look to open her season tally in this.

SIGNOR JUJON (6) will take some benefit from his latest out when returning from a break. Starting from gate 10, he didn’t have the cleanest run in transit when trying to chase and finishing back in the pack. With both his career victories coming here on the triangle, he can throw out the challenge.

LUXURY LAD (1) is a Hurrikane Kingcole gelding on debut for Mark McNee. Qualifying at the Albury trials, he has not been sighted in a local hit-out and from the gate stays under notice.

FOUR FOR FOUR (8) hasn’t been too far away with placings in 2 of her past 3 starts. Chasing for 2nd to SARIE MARAIS last start, that followed a tidy effort over the AP mile and she has claims here.

SELECTIONS: TOANUI SPIRIT (5), SIGNOR JUJON (6), LUXURY LAD (1), FOUR FOR FOUR (8)
SUGGESTED BET:
