RACE TWO

Deserted by luck last start, MUSCULUS (3) was a real eye-catcher, threading a passage between runners after finding himself buried in transit. Zig-zagging up the stretch, he grabbed the silver when 2m in arrears of the winner SPIRIT WALKER. Back to the 2138m here is a big plus and he can atone for the last start disappointment.

GARLAND GREENE (8) was off the 20m tape last start and after safely into stride was hitting the line strongly to grab the silver when 2m in arrears of the winner JEDDY R YA READY. Making a mess of things his previous 2 starts, if he can step cleanly, he will throw down a challenge in this line-up.

IVANOV (1) is generally a great beginner when the strands release and from the inside lane off the front, should be in a great position early. Only beaten a neck last start, he can feature again.

WEE MAN TROUBLE (7) is yet to win since resuming from a spell after claiming the G1 DJA Final at his last run prior to going for a break. Placed in 3 of his past 4, he is moving closer to breaking through this prep and can’t be discounted.

SELECTIONS: MUSCULUS (3), GARLAND GREENE (8), IVANOV (1), WEE MAN TROUBLE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MUSCULUS (3) to win

RACE THREE

SHES MISS DEVINE (1) made an error on debut that ended her chances when trailing them in. From gate 2 last start, she was obliged to roll the sleeves for the hard yards and was game in defeat, holding on for the bronze. With the added race experience and early options, she can cash-in.

AMANDER (2) showed early hustle off the arm to find the pegs prior to releasing for the trail when making her race debut. Giving chase to the winner, she held on for the silver, 9m in arrears of the winner and a head in front of the 3rd place SHES MISS DEVINE. The experience will help her challenge in this.

PARATROUPER (10) was snagged back form a wide gate last start when 2nd up and was finding the line in good style to be 8m in arrears of the winner UNCLE SHANK. Look for him chiming in late.

NICKS PICK (5) faces the starter for the 3rd time and will get to see the front line of the mobile for the 1st time. Slicing through to grab the silver on debut, he can be thereabouts again here.

SELECTIONS: SHES MISS DEVINE (1), AMANDER (2), PARATROUPER (10), NICKS PICK (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

BEAUDACIOUS (1)
led then up here 2 starts back against tougher opposition than he will meet here. Keen in the lead, the cost of a 27.3 opening panel proved too expensive as he couldn’t see it out. He didn’t receive the cleanest run last start from inside the 2nd line and with the gate advantage can look to bounce back.

BEEF CITY STARZZZ (7) has been in career-best form with 4 wins in his past 6 starts. Taking the trail from gate 1 here 2 starts back, he had bullets to fire in the stretch when shooting through to land a 5m victory. Backing up from a much tougher race on Sat night, he can overcome the impediment of the wide gate.

FEEL THE THUNDER (2) has been in the money at his past 3 starts, the latest when setting the tempo and leading everywhere bar where it counted, beaten a head. From the gate he will be in the mix.

MOTU AMETHYST (9) was snagged back from gate 7 when making her debut and then didn’t see much space when down the line. With better luck in transit she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: BEAUDACIOUS (1), BEEF CITY STARZZZ (7), FEEL THE THUNDER (2), MOTU AMETHYST (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

After looking to take advantage of an improved alley after successive outings from the 2nd line, MILLWOOD TILLY (1) speared out to lead from gate 2 here last start. With a big breather through the 2nd stanza, a sub 27 sizzle through the 3rd panel was too costly as she faded late to miss the placings. From the gate she is worth another chance.

FEARLESS FAITH (4) will take good benefit from her latest run when 2nd up from a spell after slotting into the 1x1 in transit and closing in good order to be a 4m runner-up behind BLACKSADANCE. Not far away behind the in-form CAUTIVAR when resuming, she can throw down the challenge here.

KOTIRO (5) backs up from Fri where she was able to find the front and once in control never gave them a look in when scoring her 1st Qld victory. Showing good improvement at each outing since arriving, including 2nd to STREET APPEAL 2 starts back, she looms large.

JILLIBY GIZMO (8) was a winner here 2 starts back when out-toughing them from gate 6 to claim a perseverance event. With an easy trip on offer from this gate, he can be probing the gaps.

SELECTIONS: MILLWOOD TILLY (1), FEARLESS FAITH (4), KOTIRO (5), JILLIBY GIZMO (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MILLWOOD TILLY (1) to win

RACE SIX

STREET APPEAL (7) might be drawn bad, however the wide gates have been of little issue to the 4YO in his 5 wins here at The Creek. Pressing forward and wide off the track last start his opponents had no answer when scoring by 8m. With this once again within his reach, he looks too strong.

BLACKSADANCE (2) appreciated the return to the mile last start when taking control from gate 2. Running home in identical sub 28 closing panels, he was able to keep them chasing to go one better after a pair of 2nds that had preceded the win. From the gate he can give them something to chase.

FLO RYDA (3) has 2 wins in 4 outings since arriving in Qld, the last start victory a strong win when sent to the breeze over the 2138m and landing the loot. From the improved gate he is right in this.

CAPTAIN COSMONAUT (8) will have the early options as the lone 2nd line runner as to where he is positioned. Taking on qualifiers at his past 2 starts, he can stake a claim for a podium position.

SELECTIONS: STREET APPEAL (7), BLACKSADANCE (2), FLO RYDA (3), CAPTAIN COSMONAUT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: STREET APPEAL (7) to win

RACE SEVEN

Faultless this campaign thus far with 3 successive wins, SPEECH IS SILVER (4) steps up to his toughest assignment to date. Settled in the running line from gate 10 last start, he cruised up to them before putting them away with ease in a comfortable 7m victory. With serious gears in the engine, he can make the next step in this.

SLICE OF HEAVEN (5) is getting closer to ending his winless streak, hitting the line strongly last start form the 2nd line when 3m in arrears of the in-form ANYCHANCE. Facing a sticky gate here with a decision to make of either pressing forward or trying to ease into position, he looks the biggest danger.

OUR MAJOR DAY (9) will take great benefit from his latest appearance when 1st up in 7 weeks without a public trial. Grabbed right on the line after setting a sharp tempo in front, he can chime in.

LETTUCEFIRESTAR (1) has won his past 2 in succession, the latest when taking a qualifier after finding the front from gate 6 and holding on. This will be tougher, yet he has the good gate in his favour.

SELECTIONS: SPEECH IS SILVER (4), SLICE OF HEAVEN (5), OUR MAJOR DAY (9), LETTUCEFIRESTAR (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

WHICH HUNT (2) pressed on to take control over the 2138m last start and after running even splits, looked to hold put them away through the last panel only to be worried out of it by FLO RYDA. Wide off the track the start prior when 3rd behind FOND MEMORIES, she can turn the tables this time.

FOND MEMORIES (7) aims up for a hat-trick of victories after returning to Qld in good order with successive wins here at the mile. Arriving over the top last start in claiming a stylish win, it followed a similar effort from the 2nd line. The gate is the concern, yet she looks to have the class to overcome it.

MONTANA LAD (6) will strip fitter from his latest outing when returning from a spell. Locked away from inside the 2nd line at Redcliffe, he will appreciate the bigger track and is a place chance.

GINGER MICKY (10) jumped it off not long after release here last week and was then angled to the pegs for luck before making another error. An uncharacteristic and costly run, he can atone.

SELECTIONS: WHICH HUNT (2), FOND MEMORIES (7), MONTANA LAD (6), GINGER MICKY (10)
SUGGESTED BET
