RACE TWO

ALS LAW (7) has been taking on the open trotting ranks in recent starts and been acquitting himself well. Stepping cleanly to find the front 2 starts back, he released the pressure and from the trail chased hard up the passing lane to grab 2nd behind GEE UP NEDDY. He looks well-placed here.

DAVEYS GIFT (6) had no luck early last start when the tapes were caught on his legs at release and ended his chances. The start prior he led them up over the long trip after a smart start and setting even panels was only wore down in the closing stages. A winner 3 starts back, he can challenge here.

MONORAIL (1) has worked his way into form and was rewarded for the consistency of 3 successive placings with a last start victory at Redcliffe. With the front tape and manners, he is in the mix.

BLACK VALLEY (4) worked forward from the 20m tape last start to cut the breeze and after a tough run was still fighting on the line when 2m in arrears. His run here 2 back was solid and he has claims.

SELECTIONS: ALS LAW (7), DAVEYS GIFT (6), MONORAIL (1), BLACK VALLEY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: ALS LAW (7) to win

RACE THREE

In a race where the 2138m distance might sort a few of these out, SUNNY RICE (7) who is still a maiden and never been over the distance can look for the breakthrough. Last start she made an error when winding up and the start prior she was hitting the line nicely. Today can be the day.

WHICH HUNT (2) will take good benefit from her return to the track when stepping out for just her 2nd career start after a lone start at 2YO. Settling in the 1x1 at her return, she chased gamely for the bronze behind the smart winner MISS RUBY SUNSHINE. From the gate she can look to challenge.

ITZ MAJOR LOOK (3) has good speed out of the machine and from here can look to fire an early shot. Making the most of conditions to lead throughout last start, the step up to the 2138m is a query.

WHATA REACTOR (1) was wide off the track last start from gate 6 over the Redcliffe sprint trip, but packed too many guns to score a gritty win. From the gate he won’t be too far away.

SELECTIONS: SUNNY RICE (7), WHICH HUNT (2), ITZ MAJOR LOOK (3), WHATA REACTOR (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

WILL THE WIZARD (9)
starts his 3YO term after showing plenty of talent during his 6 starts as a 2YO. A smart all the way winner in a sharp 1.54.6 2 starts back, he was then forced to do all the work in the G1 Triad Final from gate 11. With a tidy trial to prepare for the return, he can prevail 1st up.

TIZ A SIZZLER (4) makes his Aus debut for Stephanie Graham and arrives in Qld with a lone start over the 2400m on the grass in NZ. Settling at the back of the pack in a big field, he made a move at the 600m and really found the line nicely. Trialling in good order at Marburg, he can fire 1st up.

IMA BEACH BABE (8) took on the lamp lighting duties last start but the sting of a sub 28 opener took its toll when she faded late. A tidy 3rd here 2 starts back, the cosy trip works in her favour here.

SIRIUS VICKI (6) had no luck here 2 starts back when buried in the run and when the gap opened all her momentum was lost. Locked away last start until it was too late, she can chime in late here.

SELECTIONS: WILL THE WIZARD (9), TIZ A SIZZLER (4), IMA BEACH BABE (8), SIRIUS VICKI (6)
SUGGESTED BET: WILL THE WIZARD (9) to win

RACE FIVE

TORI MAY (2) was a winner here 2 starts back when securing the pocket trail, she was given the perfect ride and when angled to the outside finished over the top to a smart win. Charging home last start to get within a neck of the winner, she can dart in behind here and be coiled and ready to strike.

LATE NIGHT DATE (7) has hit a patch of form and lines up here looking to make it 4 in succession after her latest victory in a mares qualifier here on Sat night. Eased back from gate 7 she sat in the running line before closing nicely to arrive for a good win. Look for her swooping late again here.

GETARATTLEON (1) was hitting the line in good style her last start after retreating from gate 6 in the early stages. Taking on stronger opponents his previous 2, he is in the mix from the ace gate.

MUCH BETTOR (6) was a Redcliffe winner 3 starts back when proving too tough in the breeze over the sprint trip. Things haven’t really gone to plan his past 2 and at his best, he could take this.

SELECTIONS: TORI MAY (2), LATE NIGHT DATE (7), GETARATTLEON (1), MUCH BETTOR (6)
SUGGESTED BET: TORI MAY (2) to win

RACE SIX

BIG BANG LEONARD (8) will need some factors in his favour here, but if they fall his way, he can make the closing play a winning one. Forget his last run where he struck trouble, the start prior he found the line nicely behind MAKOA. At his Qld debut 3 back he was charging late and can again.

TOMEARA (4) resumes from a spell and was last seen in a strongly run 2138m during the Winter Carnival when fading late. The start prior he hit the line nicely to grab the silver and with a pair of trials to prepare for his return, the latest of those a sharp hit-out, this is well within reach.

CHAPTER ONE (9) struck trouble in the run last start when easing of the gate and from back in the pack, his chances ended. Beaten by gate 12 the start prior, he can settle closer here and has claims.

LIKEALLOFUS (1) went to the pegs last start from gate 11 and was too far back to make an impression as ZAHVEN BANNER dictated out in front. With the peg-line options, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: BIG BANG LEONARD (8), TOMEARA (4), CHAPTER ONE (9), LIKEALLOFUS (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

MILLWOOD TILLY (10) will be further tightened from 2 runs back from a break and while she has been impressive in scoring victory in each, she will need to step it up to another level again here. Hitting the line in good order from a 2nd line gate last start, she can look for a cart home to arrive.

TAPTHEKEG (2) was sent around to the breeze in the early stages from a 2nd line gate last time out and faded in the closing stages as MILLWOOD TILLY worked home best to score. Luckless the start prior when trying to secure position, he can fire the early shots here in search of his 1st Qld success.

JILLIBY JACKPOT (1) eased back from gate 5 last start and was working home in nice order to grab the bronze. With all the favours from the gate here, he can be probing for gaps after the cosy run.

ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (12) returns to start his 4YO term and was last seen back in July when working hard from gate 12 to get into the contest and only beaten a nose. He will improve from this run.

SELECTIONS: MILLWOOD TILLY (10), TAPTHEKEG (2), JILLIBY JACKPOT (1), ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (12)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-10-12

RACE EIGHT

MACEY JAYDE (4) earns her ticket back into the main draw after being excluded following an indiscretion 4 starts back. Last start from gate 12 she was hitting the line nicely from well back behind SENORA RAPIDO. If the manners come with her to the track, this is within reach.

TULHURST SANTANNA (2) will take good benefit from his 1st Qld appearance here last week when closing out nicely in the latter stages from a 2nd line gate to grab the silver behind DAPPER. Moving to the front line for this contest, he can settle handy to the speed and is right in the fight.

KAPOW SHANNON (5) stuck to the inside last start and punching the pegs was able to slide through to grab the bronze. That followed a qualifying win 2 back and a smart win here 4 back. He is in the mix.

BEE GEES BANDIT (10) has no favours from the tough gate, but of able to find position cheaply can be looking to work home strongly in the closing stages. Finding the line nicely from gate 7 here 2 starts back, he can podium.

SELECTIONS: MACEY JAYDE (4), TULHURST SANTANNA (2), KAPOW SHANNON (5), BEE GEES BANDIT (10)
SUGGESTED BET:
