RACE TWO

CHEYENNE AUTUMN (2) started from inside the 2nd line here last start and was soon 3 back on the pegs in the run and needing luck. When the gaps opened, she found the line to grab the bronze when 6m in arrears. With the chance to press forward here, she might be able to sneak away with the loot.

IM BATMAN (10) is the big query here, bringing Perth form and a last start 3rd at Mount Gambier in SA. A beaten red figure fav in that event when making an error in the early stages, his run 2 starts back was a tough run when fading out, albeit in a race that is markedly stronger than what he faces here. He looks well rated and stays under watch.

A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (6) faded last start after working hard over the 2138m at AP from gate 6. That followed a sound effort form gate 7 and despite another tough gate should appreciate the return to Redcliffe.

KOTARE KASAI (7) rolled the sleeves and was fighting hard when 3m from the winner and secured the bronze last start. She will need some luck here but with the easy trip can slice through gaps and is an exotic player.

SELECTIONS: CHEYENNE AUTUMN (2), IM BATMAN (10), A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (6), KOTARE KASAI (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

THATS BETTOR (1) was 3rd up from a break here over the sprint trip last time out when settling in the 1x1 in transit. With a slick temp early, it turned into a slugfest up the stretch where she was able to scrap her way to the prize. Her 2 runs to kick-off her term were against some handy performers and with the gate can go back-to-back.

FRENCH GLOBE (4) eased back from gate 5 last start over the sprint trip and wide out when making his challenge was finding the line in great order to grab the silver. Only 6m away 2 starts back, he will have some early decisions to make at the start, but can be right in the mix here.

TOO GOOD FOR YOU (7) will be sweating on the 1 looking to dictate and if that scenario eventuates, he will be ready to take the snipers shot. Mid-field last start in a tidy effort, he can chime in here.

OUR PEPPERJACK (3) worked home well for the bronze behind BUMPER last start which followed a nice effort when buried in the run here over the sprint trip. Settling handy, he has podium hopes.

SELECTIONS: THATS BETTOR (1), FRENCH GLOBE (4), TOO GOOD FOR YOU (7), OUR PEPPERJACK (3)
SUGGESTED BET: THATS BETTOR (1) to win

RACE FOUR

WHERES SEGGY (7)
is still a maiden yet he finds the right type of conditions and with a rub of the green can open his account. Releasing the front last stat over the AP mile, he found them a bit too slick closing out which followed a run where he wasn’t suited. Coiled in the run, he can arrive.

BRIGHTON PRINCE (10) will be further tightened from his latest outing when working home well to be 7m from the winner after not receiving the cleanest run in transit. Shuffled back in the run when 1st up and then chasing against the tempo, they were just too slick late. Despite the gate he has claims.

KID CALVERT (1) led them up here 3 starts back when grabbed late and followed that with a tough run in the breeze in holding on for 2nd. Sent around them in the early stages from the 2nd line last start, he can hustle early and be gripping on.

CANNAN (4) landed successive placings here at both the sprint and then middle distance before being put out of play last start. With even luck he can be in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: WHERES SEGGY (7), BRIGHTON PRINCE (10), KID CALVERT (1), CANNAN (4)
SUGGESTED BET: WHERES SEGGY (7) to win

RACE FIVE

DONT CALL ME (1) will take great benefit from his 1st up run last start when resuming from a break and stepping out for the new stable for the 1st time. Finding the 1x1 trail from the 2nd line he worked home soundly to grab the bronze. Fitter for the run and with the gate advantage, he gets his chance.

ANDREW JAY (9) has been in the money at 3 of his past 4 starts here on the triangle with 2 of those runs returning the winners cheque. Settling in the running line last start, he worked home in good order wide off the track to arrive for a smart win. With even luck in transit, he can challenge in this.

SPECIAL RESERVE (4) started from the 2nd line last start and worked home well to grab the bronze when only 1m from the winner PURE CHARISMA. Fitter again after 2 runs back from a freshen, she is in the mix here.

MYBELLA ROSE (3) finished mid-field in an Aspirational last start after working home well from back in the pack. Too slick in the latter stages to arrive for the prize here 2 starts back, she can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: DONT CALL ME (1), ANDREW JAY (9), SPECIAL RESERVE (4), MYBELLA ROSE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: DONT CALL ME (1) to win

RACE SIX

COUNTRY RUN (7) found his race here 2 starts back and after angling away from the pegs in the early stages, had too many bullets to fire in the stretch to claim the prize. Buried away last start, he was strong late for 3rd to HEADWIN. With the right trip he can be ready to strike in the stretch.

TAPTHEKEG (2) started fav at his most recent outing where there was an issue and after leading up, faded badly. Sent for a break, he has opened the pipes in nice order with a recent trial and strikes a winnable race from the right alley here, the early burn will be important to his finishing chances.

EYE SEE DOUBLE (3) makes his Qld debut for Greg Elkins and arrives a five-time career winner. The tight track shouldn’t be a concern 1st up after a last start 2nd at the Wayville Showgrounds in SA. He stays under notice.

IAM THE JOKER (1) took them all the way over the 2040m here 2 starts back when just having enough in the locker to hold on. Fading last start under the trip, back to the mile suits and he will be gripping on.

SELECTIONS: COUNTRY RUN (7), TAPTHEKEG (2), EYE SEE DOUBLE (3), IAM THE JOKER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: COUNTRY RUN (7) to win

RACE SEVEN

MAJORDOIT (1) took on a qualifier last start where he was dropped to the pegs to look for a soft run in transit. That saw him buried a long way back and the tempo meant he was facing a task, yet he was strong to the line behind CARDLESFROMHEAVEN. Settling closer, he can take the closing shot.

LETTUCEFIRESTAR (4) found the line in nice style over the AP 2138m 2 starts back after retreating early to find position. Taking on the 2040m course here last start, he settled in the run and packed too many guns in the closing stages to score. This is no harder and he can be charging home again.

SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (2) eased back from gate 4 last start and was soon a long way back in the field. Hitting the line nicely for the silver, he just needed the run sooner. From this gate he will be right in the fight.

BEACH GODDESS (5) made a winning start to her Qld career when swooping home late to a stylish win. Fighting hard in the breeze last start when only 1.5m away, she can be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: MAJORDOIT (1), LETTUCEFIRESTAR (4), SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (2), BEACH GODDESS (5)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-5
