RACE TWO

TARGARYEN HANOVER (5) is on the back-up from Tues where he was 2nd up following a stable switch. Sent to the breeze when 1st up for the Stephanie Graham barn from gate 6, he was strong to the line when 2nd to ALBION ARK. Not too far away 3 starts back, he strikes a winnable race despite the gate here.

SUGARKANE (6) settled in the running line 1x2 last start from gate 2 over the AP mile last start when she found the tempo too hot when mid-field behind STREET APPEAL. Working hard in the run to grab the silver from this gate the start prior, this is no harder and she can challenge again in this.

MISS GIULIETTA (7) makes her Qld debut for Bianca Hooper where she will also resume from a spell. Down the line in 2 Menangle outings, she has trialled here on the triangle well enough to suggest she can chime in here.

CORINDHAP CREEK (1) returns from a break and has transferred to the Peter McKay since he was last seen. A passing lane winner here last start before being shut down for the term, he has the right gate to be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: TARGARYEN HANOVER (5), SUGARKANE (6), MISS GIULIETTA (7), CORINDHAP CREEK (1)
SUGGESTED BET: TARGARYEN HANOVER (5) to win

RACE THREE

DOOLITTLE DANDY (1) settled in the 1x1 trail over the AP mile last start when mid-field behind ALBION ARK. His run here 2 starts back saw him take control form this same gate and setting an even tempo was collared on the line when a half-head from the passing lane winner GIZZMO. He can bounce back here.

SIT DOWN WALTER (10) has the tough gate to negotiate yet finds his easiest assignment in some time. Last start he was closing in nice order when 3rd and the start prior wasn’t too far away behind SIRIUS VICKI. With the right run in transit he can be making a closing play here.

REDBANK RENDEVOUS (2) loomed up to take his shot over the sprint trip 2 starts back but dint have any bullets left to fire when only a pimple away from the prize. Look for a sharper return here.

EVERY THINGS ROSEY (7) has been kept fresh since returning from a spell last start. Eased from gate 4 to look for the pegs and shot-cuts, she was within 8m of the winner. The cheap ride suits here.

SELECTIONS: DOOLITTLE DANDY (1), SIT DOWN WALTER (10), REDBANK RENDEVOUS (2), EVERY THINGS ROSEY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: DOOLITTLE DANDY (1) to win

RACE FOUR

PURE CHARISMA (5)
started from this gate over the sprint trip last start and packed too many guns when cruising to a comfortable win as a red figure fav. The start prior was a solid effort when working home wide off the track and 1st up in Qld was luckless. This looks well within reach.

MALIBU DREAM (1) will be tightened from her latest start when returning from a spell and 1st up following the stable switch. Buried on the pegs from inside the 2nd line she was hitting the line in good order to be 6m from the winner. With a cosy trip on offer she can be ready to strike late.

DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (6) has taken on mares qualifiers at her past 2 starts, the latest when forced to roll the sleeves in the breeze. Charging home for 2nd to the in-form BETTOR BECAUSE 2 starts back, she can be thereabouts from the tough gate.

LETHAL STAR (7) eased back from gate 5 last start she was against the tempo when trying to make ground. Enjoying the easy ride here, she can be probing for gaps in the closing stages.

SELECTIONS: PURE CHARISMA (5), MALIBU DREAM (1), DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (6), LETHAL STAR (7)
SUGGESTED BET: PURE CHARISMA (5) to win

RACE FIVE

BUMPER (1) has been freshened since his last outing in late November when he was well beaten behind DAPPER. Given 2 trials to open the pipes in readiness for the return, the 2nd of those was a sharp effort in slick time here at Redcliffe. With the peg-line benefits, he can return with a bang.

SOLDIER OF FORTUNE (2) capitalised on landing the ace here 2 starts back over this trip when leading all the way to claim a smart victory. Last start from gate 9 and again over the 2040m, he was closing out in good order for the bronze. From the gate he can fire an early shot to challenge.

ALE ALE KAI (8) took on a mares qualifier last start and from the 2nd line was always facing a task chasing wide off the track with a solid tempo set in front. Her Redcliffe record is strong and a forward showing is expected.

MAKE MINE JOE (6) has no favours from the wide gate but finding position cheaply in the small field will certainly help. Closing out strongly from well back last start, look for him swooping late here.

SELECTIONS: BUMPER (1), SOLDIER OF FORTUNE (2), ALE ALE KAI (8), MAKE MINE JOE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BUMPER (1) to win

RACE SIX

STUDLEIGH WILL (8) was forced to race tough last start when cutting the breeze and under a strong tempo faded in the closing stages. That was successive starts where he has worked in the run, his run 3 starts back a nice effort when only collared late up the passing lane. In an open contest he might just sneak home.

SWORD AND SHIELD (4) will take great benefit from his 1st up run in Qld when taking on a much stronger event at AP behind the winner SPEECHCRAFT. Eased back from gate 5 in that 2138m event, he was a long way back. Fitter for the run and back to this grade, he will be right in the fight.

RANCHO MAN (1) went to the pegs from gate 11 over the AP 2138m last start and was closing out in nice style when mid-field. 3rd to the in-form SONNY SAVEAO the start prior, the gate is a plus here.

MO JARNEY (2) used his early speed last start and was gripping on when nabbed in the closing strides by MISTER HART. From the good gate he is in the mix again and won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: STUDLEIGH WILL (8), SWORD AND SHIELD (4), RANCHO MAN (1), MO JARNEY (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

Another tricky contest here with the early pressure and tempo the key to the chances of READILY (9). Starting fav last start from gate 1, he received the cosy run and when angled into space grabbed the silver when 4m in arrears of the winner. With even luck in transit he can be closing out strongly.

MY WINGMAN (5) went to Tamworth last start when gunned down in the closing stages after setting the tempo. That was over the longer 2360m trip and with his best work over the sprint trip, he should appreciate the 1780m here and with slick early moves can fire the early shot here.

ARBIT MAJOR (6) couldn’t work into it over the 2040m last start after landing the 2nd line. Tough in the breeze the start prior, he was a nice winner here 3 back and if able to limit the mid-race burn, can chime in here.

RETURN ACE (10) has the tough gate to overcome yet drops in class to recent outings here. Not too far away last start after looking for cheap runs from gate 12 at AP, he is right in the fight against these.

SELECTIONS: READILY (9), MY WINGMAN (5), ARBIT MAJOR (6), RETURN ACE (10)
SUGGESTED BET: RETURN ACE (10) each-way

RACE EIGHT

WHATA REACTOR (3) pressed forward to find the front last start over this trip and once in control kept an even tempo to score an easy 9m victory. That had followed successive placings over the AP sprint trip and from the good gate here, looks to get her chance to dictate once again.

ELZBOY (10) has been kept fresh since his last appearance at Marburg when he was already fading but was put completely out of play in a home-turn scrimmage. He struck trouble the start prior over the AP mile which had followed a Marburg victory. With the right cart home, he can be in the mix.

FORTES IN FIDE (4) rolled to the breeze last start over the 2138m and was fighting to the line when 8m from GOLD REACTOR. He can get forward again here and has podium claims.

WHATA CHALLENGE (7) relished the improved gate last start and was able to hold on for the silver behind GOLD REACTOR from the pocket trail. Likely to be buried in the run here, he will be probing for openings.

SELECTIONS: WHATA REACTOR (3), ELZBOY (10), FORTES IN FIDE (4), WHATA CHALLENGE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: WHATA REACTOR (3) to win

RACE NINE

SONNY SAVEAO (7) has returned in super order from a long lay-off and will look to keep the perfect record in tact here as he shoots for a hat-trick. Cruising home to a big 15m victory over the sprint trip last start from gate 9, he will need a slice of luck here, yet still looks mighty hard to stop.

MISSINMEMATE (1) has been freshened since his last outing in November when grabbing the bronze from the passing lane after settling in the pocket trail from gate 7. Opening the pipes with a tidy trial to prepare for the return, he has the early speed and will be gripping on here.

GEST AS SMART (9) went to the pegs last start from the 2nd line to look for the short-cuts and was 3m from the winner SPEECHCRAFT. Saved for one-run here, look for him swooping late.

ARTISTIC SAINT (3) has been doing things wrong in recent starts, but he isn’t far away from putting it together. When he does bring the A game, expect a sharper effort and he is worth following.

SELECTIONS: SONNY SAVEAO (7), MISSINMEMATE (1), GEST AS SMART (9), ARTISTIC SAINT (3)
SUGGESTED BET: SONNY SAVEAO (7) to win
