RACE TWO

TIZ A SIZZLER (1) will be further tightened from his latest appearance when 2nd up from a break. With two smart trials to prepare for his return, he was snagged back from gate 7 at his return, with a sharp last panel against him. Sent forward from the 2nd line last start, he was too strong from the breeze in a strong mile. From the gate he can dictate to go back-to-back.

HAVANA MOON (8) shoots for the hat-trick after wins over the Redcliffe sprint trip and at the 2138m here. Settling back in the pack from gate 3 last start, he had too many bullets to fire in the stretch in claiming a half-head victory. With the cosy trip, he can look to fire the closing shot.

FELLINGFORAMIRACLE (6) was after a hat-trick of his own last start when finding running line cover over the mile. With the last panel power in front, it was hard for the chasers, with his effort returning a 6m deficit. He is in the fight here.

MUCHO MACHO MAN (5) will be 1st up from a break, sent for a spell after his last start when taking on a qualifier. With 1 trial under his belt, he can improve on the achievements in this.

SELECTIONS: TIZ A SIZZLER (1), HAVANA MOON (8), FELLINGFORAMIRACLE (6), MUCHO MACHO MAN (5)
SUGGESTED BET: TIZ A SIZZLER (1) to win

RACE THREE

SKYLINE (6)
pressed ahead from the 10m tape last start over the longer 2647m trip to find the front. With even panels out in front, he couldn’t see it out as the race fav when finishing 6.5m from the winner HAVANA MAGIC. Back to the 2138m suits and with placings his previous 2, he can take this.

HAVANA MAGIC (10) has been in super form with wins at 4 of her past 6 starts. 3 starts back she was a long way out of the ground when running some strong closing splits and followed that with an error at her next start. Too strong for them last start from the 20m, she can look to repeat off the 30.

IS SOMETHINGBURNING (8) was able to get the monkey off the back last start in breaking through for her 1st win in Aus. Finishing hard after starting from the 40m tape to score a smart win, look for her swooping here.

JANSSON (3) is on the back-up from Sun night at Redcliffe where he was able to go back-to-back, following his victory here 2 starts back. From the front, he can step cleanly and give cheek .

SELECTIONS: SKYLINE (6), HAVANA MAGIC (10), IS SOMETHINGBURNING (8), JANSSON (3)
SUGGESTED BET: SKYLINE (6) to win

RACE FOUR

SIR FAHRENHEIT (6)
started fav on Sat night over the 2138m from the front tape. Slowly into stride and settling 1x2 in the run, he was looking to make a closing shot but couldn’t reel in the dictating winner GARLAND GREENE. An all the way winner from the mobile 2138m here 3 starts back, he can bounce back.

IM THE COMMANDO (2) made the most of his chance to find the front and roll along over the 2138m mobile trip 2 starts back. With an even opening 800m, he kept rolling in holding on to win by a head. Making a mess of the start from the tapes last time, he will fire out from the arm here.

MUSCULUS (5) was a winner here 5 starts back when finishing over the top to claim a smart win over the 2138m from a 30m tape. Runner-up in all 4 starts since that win, he will be in the mix again here.

GREG THE GREAT (7) has worked his way back into some form, closing hard to grab the silver behind GARLAND GREENE 3 starts back. Franking that with a win here last week and not far away again on Sat night, look for him closing late.

SELECTIONS: SIR FAHRENHEIT (6), IM THE COMMANDO (2), MUSCULUS (5), GREG THE GREAT (7)
SUGGESTED BET: SIR FAHRENHEIT (6) to win

RACE FIVE

TEE JAY CEE (1)
will take good benefit and experience from his race debut when settling in the pocket trail from this same gate. Still with some learning to do, he held on for the bronze behind the flashing power of BIG WHEELS. With options from the gate, he can open his account here.

AURORA ROSE (4) is a Rock N Roll Heaven filly on debut for Vicki Rasmussen out of the 9-win mare Devoy. A half-sister to the handy performer DE VOYAGE, she has trialled twice at Redcliffe and while she doesn’t look to have much size, she did everything right in both trials and stays under watch.

WHATTA GOOD REASON (10) doesn’t have many favours from the tough gate, yet will take good experience from his debut here last week. From the pocket trail he chased gamely behind JUSTA LITTLE BIT to hold 2nd and can chime in again here.

MONTANA FLASH (9) has faced the starter on 2 occasions now, the latest when unable to match the closing power of the leader and winner SWEET LOMBO. With even luck form the gate, he can be an improver.

SELECTIONS: TEE JAY CEE (1), AURORA ROSE (4), WHATTA GOOD REASON (10), MONTANA FLASH (9)
SUGGESTED BET: TEE JAY CEE (1) to win

RACE SIX

BIG BANG LEONARD (3) started from gate 7 here on Sat night when snagged back in the early stages prior to securing a cart home in the latter stages. With the race set up for the front-end power, it was a top effort to get as close as he did. Placed his previous 3 starts, he can look to breakthrough.

OYSTER STRIDE (7) put the writing on the wall here 2 starts back when making a mess of the start from gate 1. Losing a stack of ground in the early stages, he picked the field up and was huge in defeat when only 3.5m in arrears. Sitting off a strong tempo last start, he swept home strongly for the prize and can be charging home to challenge here.

TUHURST ACE (5) returns to mid-week company and might just find the easier assignment to his liking. Only 2m in arrears of DREAM TO SHARE last start, he found the breeze in FFA company too much of an ask 2 starts back. He is right in this.

SUBTLE DELIGHT (8) was beaten by the barrier last start when snagging back from gate 7, but was still closing nicely when 7m from the winner. In nice touch, he just needs some luck to feature.

SELECTIONS: BIG BANG LEONARD (3), OYSTER STRIDE (7), TUHURST ACE (5), SUBTLE DELIGHT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 3-5-7-8

RACE SEVEN

ARTHUR LOWE (6)
is in great touch and completed a hat-trick of victories last start when charging home along the inside to grab the prize. With wins at the mile and the 2138m in the threepeat, he has been attacking the line in the closing stages from back in the pack in each. Finding cheap position from the wide gate again, he can rinse and repeat.

KETUT (9) will take benefit from his latest outing when returning from a spell. Sent for a break after rattling home in the closing stages to be 4m from the winner back in March, he returned without a trial when again showing his closing power, hitting the line in nice style. With the right early trail, he can swoop hard.

SABRAGE (7) eased from this same gate last start over the 2138m trip, working home strongly in the closing stages to be 2m from the winner ARTHUR LOWE. He is a place chance in a tricky contest.

THREO (2) led them up last start from gate 1 before drifting up the track down the back straight. Banished to the trials, he has earned the return and can fire the early shots again here.

SELECTIONS: ARTHUR LOWE (6), KETUT (9), SABRAGE (7), THREO (2)
SUGGESTED BET: KETUT (9) each-way

RACE EIGHT

MAFUTA VAUTIN (4) isn’t having a lot go his way in recent appearances, the latest when put out of play behind a tiring runner. 2 starts back over the 2138m he was able to land in what seemed a perfect 1x1 trail only to be blocked in traffic and carted out of it. Attacking the line smartly 3 starts back, he can look to make his own luck.

OUR BONDI BEACH (2) was beaten by gate 6 last start when retreating to find the pegs and look for the luck in transit. Forced to do it the tough way at Redcliffe the start prior in a strong time outside the leader, he should appreciate the good alley and look to issue a challenge.

COREY WILLIAM (9) would be better suited from the front line, however if he can get the right trail through in the early stages, he might be close enough. Snagged back from gate 7 last start, he can chime in.

TORI MAY (5) was angled to the pegs for an easy trip last start and with the speed on throughout, was making a closing play when 5m in arears of the winner OYSTER STRIDE to grab 2nd. With a strong closing sprint, she can be charging.

SELECTIONS: MAFUTA VAUTIN (4), OUR BONDI BEACH (2), COREY WILLIAM (9), TORI MAY (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MAFUTA VAUTIN (4) to win

RACE NINE

NIFTY STUDLEIGH (6) had superior speed inside here on Fri over the mile when easing to find position. With the leader and winner CUT FROM ROCK able to dictate the pace in front, he was left chasing to finish just beyond mid-field. A Marburg winner 2 starts back, he should appreciate this contest despite the tough gate.

BLUE SHARD (4) resumes from a spell here, sent for a break after finishing not too far away from them back in December. Opening the pipes in a recent trial, there was plenty to like about the hit-out when only a half-head from the smart 3YO WILL THE WIZARD. He might need the run, but off his trial effort, this isn’t out of reach.

A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (2) backs up from Sun night at Redcliffe where he was sent forward from the 2nd line to do it the tough way outside the leader. Holding on for 3rd, he wasn’t too far away and if he can get across to dictate, can give plenty of cheek in this.

MOTU AMETHYST (3) has been to the track on 3 occasions, the latest when 4m from the winner THE HUMMER after securing a cosy trip in the trail. 2m from the winner 2 starts back, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: NIFTY STUDLEIGH (6), BLUE SHARD (4), A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (2), MOTU AMETHYST (3)
SUGGESTED BET:
