RACE TWO

PATSDELIGHT (2) should be approaching full fitness after 4 runs back from a long layoff. Pouncing on the lead from gate 1 last start under mobile conditions, she set a slick tempo when only collared in the closing strides. Making a mess last time she faced the tapes, if she brings her manners, she can take some catching.

MUSCULUS (1) was a winner here 6 starts back when arriving from the 30m tape to score in nice style. Runner-up at his next 4 starts, he then was forced to do it the tough way here last start when sent to set up outside PATSDELIGHT. From the front tape he can look to bounce back here.

SIR FAHRENHEIT (9) started from gate 6 from the mobile here last week. Trying to press forward he was never closer than 3-wide the trip and faded under the strong tempo. Despite the 30m tape, he can look for redemption.

MELPARK MAGIC (8) sat back against the poles last start and watched the tempo unfold over the mobile mile. When the gaps arrived, he charged home to take the prize and with the right trip can be thereabouts again.

SELECTIONS: PATSDELIGHT (2), MUSCULUS (1), SIR FAHRENHEIT (9), MELPARK MAGIC (8)
SUGGESTED BET: PATSDELIGHT (2) to win

RACE THREE

This shapes as a tricky and open 2YO maiden to line up with half the field on debut and not a great deal of trial form amongst them. ROYAL PRINCESS (10) will take benefit from her 1st race appearance at Redcliffe when leading every step, bar the one that counts. The gate stings, but the experience could prove invaluable.

KING OF COOL (2) returns from a freshen after his only race outing came at Redcliffe back in mid-April. Starting from gate 4 on that occasion, he settled back in the pack and looked green as he was sound to the line when 9m from DYNAMIC DAN. From the improved gate, he can be an improver.

STRAYTOTHEPOOLROOM (6) is a Cammibest colt on debut for Peter Greig. With a tidy trial in readiness for his 1st race appearance, positioning cheaply from the wide gate will be the key.

LEFTMEATTHEBAR (3) will make his 1st race start here for Ryan Veivers and is a gelding by Hurrikane Kingcole. Down the line in a trial behind the talented MANILA PLAYBOY, he stays under notice.

SELECTIONS: ROYAL PRINCESS (10), KING OF COOL (2), STRAYTOTHEPOOLROOM (6), LEFTMEATTHEBAR (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

MISTER DIAMOND (5)
comes into this contest after a smart win over the mile her 2 starts back. From gate 10, he settled in the running line prior to making a smart charge to cruise by and claim a 13m victory. Only 1.5m away the start prior, this will be tougher, yet he can look to make the rise.

BETTERTHANAJEEP (4) was a winner here 3 starts back when landing the pocket trail from gate 2 and then making the closing shot a winning one up the passing lane. Within 2m of the winner at his next outing over this trip, he struck some grief in the run last start when within 5m of TIZ A SIZZLER.

THE MONEY BALL (8) has 2 wins in his last 3 starts, the latest a comfortable 3m victory when leading throughout in a 2nd division qualifier. The 2138m is the big query, but with an easy trip can offer.

DONNY JONES (1) led them up last start at Redcliffe over the 1780m and when the power went on, he couldn’t finish it off. With the speed to take an early lead here, he will be gripping on.

SELECTIONS: MISTER DIAMOND (5), BETTERTHANAJEEP (4), THE MONEY BALL (8), DONNY JONES (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MISTER DIAMOND (5) to win

RACE FIVE

SPEECH IS SILVER (7)
should be undefeated in Qld in 11 starts, with his only defeats coming when he beat himself. On the back-up from Friday where he was again far too smart for them after cruising on by in the stretch, it had followed a simple victory over the 2138m. He has gears, he has class and despite the wide gate, he looks far too smart once again.

SLICE OF HEAVEN (8) is getting back near his best and had now placed in 4 of his past 5. Buried away 3 back on the poles from this same gate over the 2138m here on Friday, he really attacked the line when the gap opened to get within a neck of the winner. He will be needing luck again, but will be probing for a way clear.

OYSTER STRIDE (9) made a mess of the start here 3 starts back and was huge in defeat in a real eye-catcher. Franking that run with a smart win at his next appearance, he was beaten by gate 7 last start. He can sneak onto the podium.

IMA TOP TYCOON (4) will strip fitter from his latest outing when resuming from a spell. Settling in the 1x1 trail, he was sound to the line behind TULHURST ACE and can be thereabouts here.

SELECTIONS: SPEECH IS SILVER (7), SLICE OF HEAVEN (8), OYSTER STRIDE (9), IMA TOP TYCOON (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi 7 / 4-6-8-9

RACE SIX

MAFUTA VAUTIN (1) looked to have found his race last start from gate 4 over this trip. Sent forward, the opening split came at a cost of 26.4, an expense that proved too great as he was nabbed in the closing stages to finish 2nd. He had been luckless leading into that and with the good gate and a cheaper lead, gets every chance to atone.

WINKANDITSOVER (5) took on a stronger contest here last week over the 2138m when securing the pocket trail from gate 2. Losing momentum behind a floundering leader, he was 4m from the winner and may have been much closer with a smoother trip. The gate stings, but he is getting closer to a Qld breakthrough.

TORI MAY (4) started from gate 5 last time out in the same race as MAFUTA VAUTIN and was looking to warm up late when finishing mid-field. Securing cheap position will be key to her closing chances.

WITH AUTHORITY (9) stretched MAFUTA VAUTIN out in the early stages here last week before taking cover and then holding on for the bronze. He looks set for the right early trail and is a place chance here.

SELECTIONS: MAFUTA VAUTIN (1), WINKANDITSOVER (5), TORI MAY (4), WITH AUTHORITY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: MAFUTA VAUTIN (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

SABRAGE (5)
will appreciate the improved gate after landing the car park at his past 2 outings. Taken back early over the 2138m here 2 starts back, he was then wide and closing strongly to be 2m from the winner ARTHUR LOWE. Again, snagged back last time over the mile, once again he was charging late when within 2m. With early speed, he can look to capitalise.

MAYWYNS BEST (8) will be needing a few factors in his favour here, but with some tempo he might just be able to shake clear in time to issue a challenge. Buried and needing space last start, he was probing before getting within a head of the win. He will be searching again>

BIG BANG LEONARD (7) settled in the running line last start from gate 3 when making a closing play to be 4m from the winner TULHURST ACE in claiming the bronze. The gate stings, yet this is a marginal drop-in class and he has claims.

FIOKI (3) has found his touch in recent starts, finishing in the money at his past 5 in succession. Forced to dig in and fight from the breeze last time, he is racing well and from this gate will be in for the fight.

SELECTIONS: SABRAGE (5), MAYWYNS BEST (8), BIG BANG LEONARD (7), FIOKI (3)
SUGGESTED BET: SABRAGE (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

This race looks a great contest with some up-and-comers poised to do battle. The Barrier draw favours the chances of STREET APPEAL (1) who bounced back to victory last start to put behind him a Redcliffe TrotRods failure. Leading throughout over the 2138m from gate 6, he was never really in danger. The gate suits and he can look to dictate.

TIZ A SIZZLER (7) shoots for the hat-trick after wins at the mile and then the 2138m. Sent to the breeze here 2 starts back from a 2nd line gate, he was able to fight them off to score. Making the most of gate 1 last time, he led throughout for an easy victory. He will need to work at some stage, but he can lay down the challenge.

B MAC C (8) will take some benefit from his latest start following a 5-week break between outings. With a brilliant sprint when saved, he can be in the snipers seat ready to pull the trigger.

THE CRUISE MISSILE (3) was runner-up here 2 starts back to TIZ A SIZZLER and the form of that was franked when he led throughout at here on Friday in claiming an easy 8m victory. He won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: STREET APPEAL (1), TIZ A SIZZLER (7), B MAC C (8), THE CRUISE MISSILE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: STREET APPEAL (1) to win

RACE NINE

CUT FROM ROCK (10) doesn’t receive any favours from this gate, however, she this doesn’t look out of reach. Making the most of gate 1 to take them all the way last start, it had followed a run where she didn’t see out the 2138m trip at her 1st attempt. With the right cart into the contest, she can go back-to-back.

CHANCELESS CENTURY (9) started from inside the 2nd line last start and soon found himself buried away and looking for openings when 8m from the winner FEARLESS FAITH. Drawn the 2nd line in his past 4 in succession, the last 3 inside the 2nd and buried in the run, if he can find some open space, he can be sharper in this.

PHOTOZEN (1) eased back from gate 5 to find position last start when closing out nicely in the stretch to be within 4m of the winner. He found them a bit too sharp the start prior but lands an improved gate here and with the early options, has claims in this.

GUY LOOKS GOOD (2) found his race at Redcliffe 2 starts back when rolling forward to cut the breeze and prove too strong. 6m from the winner SCHEU CREEK last start, he can get forward and look to utilise the good gate.

SELECTIONS: CUT FROM ROCK (10), CHANCELESS CENTURY (9), PHOTOZEN (1), GUY LOOKS GOOD (2)
SUGGESTED BET: CUT FROM ROCK (10) to win
