RACE TWO

PACIFIC DRUMS (8) started fav at his last start over the AP 2138m from the 2nd line. Pressing through in the early stages to position outside the leader, he was in for the fight when finishing under 3m from the winner CONVAIR HUSTLER. Mid-field to GOVERNOR JUJON the start prior, he looks to have their measure.

DONNY JONES (3) was taken off the arm last start to settle in a rearward position from gate 6 and was facing a task against the tempo. Forced to work too hard the start prior when sent to the breeze, he can look to utilise his early hustle to take control and will try to fight them off.

MISSINMEMATE (4) showed a nice finish at his latest outing when 1st up for the new stable. Closing strongly over the 2040m to get within a head of the winner, he can be in the mix again here.

BLUE MOON RISING (6) used the passing lane here 2 starts back to hold on for the silver behind ROCKNROLL CLASSIC. Hitting the line in nice style from back in the pack last time, he can’t be overlooked.

RACE THREE

CC JONES (4)
was keen from the 2nd line last start and was soon off and around them to find the front over the 2040m. Fading in the closing stages to be 8m in arrears of the winner, it had followed a tough run in a qualifier when facing the breeze. Back to the Redcliffe sprint trip, he can dictate.

ONLY IN ROME (6) found his race last start when sent forward from the 2nd line and doing it the tough way was able to hold on to claim victory by a neck. Rolling the sleeves over the middle distance trip here 2 starts back and only finishing 3m in arrears of the winner, he can look to throw down the challenge.

ONE OFF (8) was eased from gate 4 last start and angled to the pegs was looking for the short-cuts and some luck to come his way. 8m from the winner, he can look to chime into the action in this.

COBBLER LANE (3) found the 1x1 trail last start and was making a closing play to grab the silver behind ARK ME. He can work in his races if required and in the quinella at 5 of 6 here on the triangle, can feature.

RACE FOUR

This race shapes as a tricky contest to deconstruct with the 2040m adding an extra dimension to factor in with most of these more adept at the sprint trip. Leaning to PRETTYCOMPACT (3) who might just have the hustle to get across to the pegs 1st. Hitting the line soundly last start, she chased home here behind JEWEL OF PEAK 2 starts back and is worth a ticket in this.

TULHURST KATE (8) has a handy record here at the Peninsula and was chiming in late last start to grab the bronze when 7m from the winner. Only a head behind the subsequent winner SUKI DAYO here 3 starts back, she can settle handy to the action and looks well-placed to launch a claim.

MUCHO GUAPA (1) will take benefit from her start here last week when returning from a break to kick-off her 4YO term. Eased back from gate 6 to the pegs over the 2040m, she was finding the line strongly to be 6m in arrears of the winner. The gate opens the options to feature.

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (5) has been runner-up in 3 of his past 4 outings, the latest when chasing from the 1x1 to be 7m from the winner RITCHIE BEE. The gate stings, but he can be in the mix.

RACE FIVE

He might have drawn a wide gate and not tasted success this calendar year, however this might just be the right type of race for NON PASSARE (6) cash-in. Settling in the 1x1 trail from the 2nd line last start, he chased in a strong last quarter to be 6m in arrears. That followed successive placings including a 1m 3rd after leading them up.

HESLUVABLE (1) settled in the running line last start when chasing home for the bronze behind SCHEU CREEK. Taking on a much tougher qualifier 3 starts back, the improved gate is a big factor here and with the early options, he gets his chance for a breakthrough victory.

DARBY BRIGHTS (3) couldn’t get across them last start, receiving the 1x1 trail, finishing 8m in arrears of the winner SUKI DAYO. Runner-up her 4 previous in succession, she can look to place again in this.

RACE SIX

TORQUE IS TRENDING (3) was 3rd up from a break here last start and showed the benefit of the 1st 2 runs for the campaign, packing too many bullets from the breeze to land a 4m victory. The writing was on the wall for the win following a close up run behind TRUE STEPPER and he can look to repeat.

IMA REGAL JET (4) chalked up another minor last start to stretch his run to a top-3 in 8 of his past 10 outings. Locked away from inside the 2nd line, he chimed in late when the gap arrived to be 8m from the winner and claim the bronze. Finding early position will be key to his challenging chances.

MEGA STAR (2) started from gate 1 last start when settling in the pocket trail and then making the closing shot a winner up the passing lane, with a smart last 400m split. From the gate he can feature.

MISS FERNANDEZ (5) returns to Qld, again re-joining the Trent Dawson barn. With 4 placings in 10 previous trips around the triangle. 1st up in over 12 months, she had a trial hit-out to prepare and stays under watch.

RACE SEVEN

PERFECT FEELING (4)
added another victory to his tally last start, stretching his form run to read a top-3 at his past 7 in succession. Grabbed late by PEGGY STARDUST 2 starts back, he bounced back taking them all the way here last start. With the early hustle, he will give them something to chase.

DANCING IN MANOLOS (1) snagged in to take the trail last start after not quite having the speed to get across to lead. Fading out in the closing stages it had followed an all the way win from gate 1 over this trip. With the options available, she can be sharper than her latest return.

REDDY FIRE (5) was eased from gate 6 last start, looking to make a closing plat when 11m from the winner PEGGY STARDUST. Its been a while since he last chimed into the money, but this isn’t out of reach.

ROCKA BELLA (7) was buried from inside the 2nd line last start and left chasing as FOUR FOR FOUR took control out in front. Only a half-head away here 2 starts back, she will be probing for openings.

RACE EIGHT

ROYAL PRINCESS (1) is a Pet Rock filly out of Impish Princess, with this maternal family abounding with winners. Prepared by Peter Greig, she has prepared with a tidy trial finishing 3rd behind the race winners MANILA PLAYBOY and UNCLE SHANK. From the gate she can make a winning debut.

PRINCESS CHILLA (2) is a filly out of the mare Tatachilla, making her a half-sister to the handy performers Borninastorm, Chilla Breeze and Broadwater. Trialling twice here at Redcliffe to prepare for her 1st appearance, she did everything right at the 2nd hit-out, suggesting she can challenge.

HURRIKANE HOUR (4) was down the line on debut behind OUT ULTIMATE BONNY. Showing plenty of in-experience in the run, he will take great benefit from the outing and can be an improver.

LOVE YOUR WORK (6) retreated from gate 7 at Albion Park on debut to look for the pegs and was back in the pack. Making an early error last start, he will be better for the outing.
