RACE TWO

This looks a tough race to pull apart with all of the contestants looking for an elusive victory. By virtue of her high gate speed, CLASSYTOFF (4) can look to take up the lamp lighting duties here and if able to pinch a panel would take some catching. Her numbers aren’t flash but she can sneak home.

WHATA REACTOR (6) is the interesting runner here, lining up for his 1st start since joining the Warren Hinze barn. Previously prepared by Bernie Hewitt, Hinze will be hoping for a repeat dose, with his in-form COBBLER LANE formerly prepared by Hewitt and that keeps her under notice in this.

BAMBOLE NERE (5) will be further tightened from her latest hit-out when landing a tough 3rd from the breeze at Marburg, only 4m from the winner LIGHTHORSE. Limiting the work, she is in the mix.

OOZINVILLE (3) snuck into the money at Marburg on Monday at 100-1 for his best return this campaign. Settling handy to the lead in this, he can be around the money once again.

SELECTIONS: CLASSYTOFF (4), WHATA REACTOR (6), BAMBOLE NERE (5), OOZINVILLE (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

SPEECH IS SILVER (5) is undefeated in 3 starts since arriving in Aus, starting a prohibitive red figure fav on each occasion. Last start he didn’t even appear to change gears when cruising home to claim a new career PB of 1.53.8. A very smart conveyance, he shouldn’t be troubled in stepping up again.

GOTTA MOMENT (1) eased back from gate 5 here on Tues and tracking the winner SECRETAGENT TYCOON into the race, just looked to be struggling when the speed went on at the 400m. Hitting the line strongly once he straightened, he should enjoy a cheap ride here and has podium claims.

ROYAL LINCOLN (6) has been freshened since his last appearance when snagging back from gate 6 and then finding the line strongly to grab the bronze behind TOMMY UNDER FIRE. He can chime in.

THATS HOW WEROLL (8) chased hard from a long way back to grab 2nd behind the in-form SECRETAGENT TYCOON last start. Securing a cosy trip, he will be probing the gaps and sprinting late.

SELECTIONS: SPEECH IS SILVER (5), GOTTA MOMENT (1), ROYAL LINCOLN (6), THATS HOW WEROLL (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi Trifecta 5 / 1-3-6-8

RACE FOUR

SPECIAL RESERVE (4)
is still looking to breakthrough for a victory since returning for her 4YO term, having placed in 4 of her 5 appearances. Buried on the poles last start from inside the 2nd line, her closing splits were solid in grabbing the bronze. This looks her chance to capitalise.

BEEF CITY STARZZZ (1) started from gate 6 last time out over this distance and settling in the running line packed too many punches in the closing stages to arrive for a tidy win. An all the way winner here 4 starts back, he followed that with a close 2nd and from the gate will be right in the fight.

GOLD REACTOR (9) started from inside the 2nd line in a Gold Pot heat and probing for space was able to finish hard to grab the bronze. Again closing strongly for 2nd in the Final, he will swoop late here.

MONTANA NIGHTS (7) has no favours from the wide gate here, yet is racing in nice touch since resuming from a spell. Rewarded with a smart win last start, he won’t be too far away.

SELECTIONS: SPECIAL RESERVE (4), BEEF CITY STARZZZ (1), GOLD REACTOR (9), MONTANA NIGHTS (7)
SUGGESTED BET: SPECIAL RESERVE (4) to win

RACE FIVE

SIR TIGER (5) started fav in the Gold Pot Final here last week from gate 7. Easing back early he made a move to find the breeze at the 1000m and with a solid tempo throughout, faded in the closing stages. Too strong in winning his heat 1st up in Aus, he looks well placed here and can bounce back.

GINA MACH (1) has 2 wins at the 2138m trip and they have come in her past 4 starts and both when leading throughout. Pressing on to find the front last start, she was able to dictate in front to score a 1.5m victory. With the benefit of the ace gate, she will be looking to fight them off again here.

AMILLION PROMISES (10) started from the 2nd line last start and worked around them early when chasing hard for 2nd to GINA MACH. The middle-distance poses a query but he shouldn’t be far away.

IFOUNDTHEBEACH (8) settled in the running line last start and was hitting the line in good order to be 4m from the winner GINA MACH. With the cosy trip on offer, he can look to make a closing play.

SELECTIONS: SIR TIGER (5), GINA MACH (1), AMILLION PROMISES (10), IFOUNDTHEBEACH (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SIR TIGER (5) to win

RACE SIX

Stripping fitter from his Qld debut when 1st up in 6 weeks, WHATS THE CATCH (3) finds the right contest to open his account here. Easing back from gate 6 over the mile, he was hitting the line in nice order behind the smart SPEECH IS SILVER. With good early speed, he can look to dictate.

BRADNESS ELDEFUEGO (10) has the tough 2nd line gate to overcome yet should find this easier than recent outings. Circling from this same alley to the breeze last start in a qualifier, he wasn’t far away despite a duck-egg next to his name. Only 4m from INVINCIBLE LOXTON 2 back, he is a big danger.

PINUP BOY (6) has had 2 starts since returning from a break and has run into some handy, in-form pacers in both. His run was better than the return 1st up behind TENNYSON BROMAC and he can feature against this field.

OCEANS PREDATOR (5) didn’t have much go right last start when easing back from gate 6 and fining back in the field. Hitting the line strongly for the bronze 2 starts back, he is right in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: WHATS THE CATCH (3), BRADNESS ELDEFUEGO (10), PINUP BOY (6), OCEANS PREDATOR (5)
SUGGESTED BET: PINUP BOY (6) each-way

RACE SEVEN

OUR MELS DREAM (8) joined a unique club here on Tuesday when stepping out for his 300th race appearance. Finding the running line from gate 5, he was hitting the line strongly to grab 2nd when 1m from the winner RORY MACH. With a cosy trip against the pegs, he can take the closing shot.

BLUE POINTER (1) steps out for the 1st time since July and for the 1st time since joining the Ryan Veivers team. Gunned down in the closing stages last start over the Redcliffe 1780m, he has good early speed and with a tidy trial to prepare, will be gripping on in the stretch.

RORY MACH (6) made his 250th career start a winning one here on Tues when finishing best to arrive for his 27th career victory. Racing well and never far from the action, look for him swooping home.

WATTLEBANK FLYER (9) took on a conditioned race last time out and after finding the pegs from gate 2, released the speed and held on for 3rd.  Back to claiming grade, he will be probing the gaps.

SELECTIONS: OUR MELS DREAM (8), BLUE POINTER (1), RORY MACH (6), WATTLEBANK FLYER (9)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR MELS DREAM (8) to win

RACE EIGHT

The 2nd heat for the Rising Stars and RUN BOY RUN (1) should relish landing a decent alley after a string of tough gates. No closer than gate 5 his past 7 starts, the move to the inside can work in his favour. Buried last start, he hit the line strongly and with the speed to lead can fight them off.

COBBLER LANE (8) has been consistent at The Creek with a top 3 in 10 of 14 appearances. Cutting the breeze in a qualifier last start, he was in for the fight and went within 2m of the prize behind HEZ RAZOR SHARP. With a soft trip on offer, he will be dressed and ready to roll in the stretch.

DAPPER (4) shoots for the hat-trick after wins at the mile and then the 2138m last start. Holding the front from gate 1 last start, he was too smart in claiming a 6m victory and is in the mix again.

RECIPE FOR DREAMING (2) made the most of finding the front here 2 starts back and once in control over the mile ran home to a big victory. This is a step up from his last start but he still has claims.

SELECTIONS: RUN BOY RUN (1), COBBLER LANE (8), DAPPER (4), RECIPE FOR DREAMING (2)
SUGGESTED BET: RUN BOY RUN (1) to win

v

RACE NINE

BODHI TREE (10) started from gate 6 last me out and making his move at the 700m was wide off the track and was strong to the line in some smart closing sections. That followed a tidy run when closing out in good order to be 5m from INVINCIBLE LOXTON. He hasn’t won for a while, but this is within reach.

SPIKE BROMAC (7) returns from a spell and was last seen back in July when a beaten fav after leading them up. Stepping out in a recent trial to open the pipes, he was never asked for too much in scoring easily. With blazing speed off the arm, he can look to light the lamps and fight them off.

CASINO TOMMY (6) settled in the 1x1 trail last start and was strong to the line to get within a head of the in-form CRUZY DUDE. With the right cart home here, look for him chiming into the money.

BEEF CITY BLAZE (1) made the most of a cosy run in the trail last start and angled to the outside in the stretch, finished best to score. With another easy run against the poles, he is an exotic hope.

SELECTIONS: BODHI TREE (10), SPIKE BROMAC (7), CASINO TOMMY (6), BEEF CITY BLAZE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: BODHI TREE (10) to win
