Kelly Schweida will bid to equal a career best training performance with a strong line up at Doomben on Wednesday.

The Schweida stable is in rare form and produced a career best performance in the metropolitan area with four winners at Doomben last month.

Schweida has trained three winners from his past four starters including Magic Millions Classic-bound youngster The Odyssey in the Listed Phelan Ready Stakes at Doomben last Saturday.

As well as The Odyssey winning the Phelan Ready, Schweida also won with The Full Monty at the Gold Coast last Saturday and Northern Divine at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday.

“I’ve trained three winners at a metropolitan meeting a few times but it was the first time I got four winners on the one day in town last month,” Schweida said.

On Wednesday, Schweida will saddle Zabring in the Maiden Handicap (1660m), Ramtastic (Class Two), Victory Liner (QTIS 3yo Mdn) and She’s Reliable (Class Three).

He also has Zilitor entered for the Class 2 Handicap but has declared the five-year-old mare a non-runner after she drew wide.

The Doomben track is currently in the soft range which Schweida says shouldn’t affected his team.

Schweida believes Zabring will be highly competitive in the Maiden Handicap following his past two placings at the Gold Coast.

The four-year-old son of Sebring was runner-up to Little Mikkas in a 1300-metre Maiden at the Gold Coast on December 8 after a similar placing in a 1200-metre maiden at the Gold Coast on November 17.

“Zabring is going well. He’s run second at his past two runs but he got too far back last start and the winner was too good,” Schweida said.

Ramtastic is nominated for the $1 million Magic Millions Guineas (1400m) at the Gold Coast next month but is unlikely to make the final field with his inferior prizemoney.

The son of Sepoy was impressive at his only start when successful in an 1110-metre Maiden at Doomben on December 7.

“He led all the way last time but he’s jumping from a maiden to a class two this time but he should still be competitive,” Schweida said.

Schweida admitted he was disappointed with Victory Liner’s latest run when seventh in a maiden at the Gold Coast on November 10 and was hopeful of a better showing while She’s Reliable needs two scratchings to secure a start in the Class Three.
