Raced wide approaching the home turn. After passing the 400 metres the saddle shifted to the near side placing the rider at a disadvantage for the remainder of the race. Then after passing the winning post and on pulling up Apprentice A Spinks was dislodged. Apprentice A Spinks was uninjured he was cleared to take his ride in race 5.
