Apprentice B. Ainsworth informed stewards that she was advised by the connections to not use the whip on the mare. Reared as the start was effected and lost ground. Had to be eased when tightened for room between runners near the 400m. Laid in under pressure in the home straight and approaching the winning post shifted in and bumped GOLDEN RAINBOWS.

when questioned regarding below market performance, rider L Tilley stated after being crossed by other runners at the 1200 metres the horse resented the sand kickback from that point onwards.

Lucky Ticket

passing the finishing line, shifted out abruptly breaking through the outside running rail, dislodging rider J Hoopert. After being attended to by QAS medical staff, J Hoopert was stabilized and transported to Kingaroy hospital for further observation. As J Hoopert was unable to be weighed in as the winner, stewards acting under AR142 declared correct weight. J Hoopert was advised he will require a medical clearance prior to resuming race riding.
