When questioned in relation to the performance of the gelding which raced below market expectations Jockey advised the gelding had been unable to finish off as expected after being when unable to obtain an uncontested lead. Jockey also advised the gelding was very fresh today, having not raced for 5 weeks, and was fractious in the barriers. The gelding made the 400 metre turn awkwardly and commenced to lose ground from that point. Jockey believes the gelding will benefit from today’s race.
