Burt  Rider reported that his mount never travelled at any stage of the race and blundered on numerous occasions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the horse was lame in the near hind. Trainer was told that he must provide a veterinary clearance prior to the horse being permitted to race again. 23/4/15 vet cert received.  Townsville  14/12/2014

Sunset in New York  When questioned regarding the poor performance of of the filly, Jockey explained that his mount was caught wide for the entirety of the event and was a beaten horse as far from the finish as the 400 metres. Trainer advised stewards that he will freshen up the filly prior to its next race start. A post-race veterinary examination of the filly did not reveal any abnormalities.

Junee Boy (NZ)  For some distance in back straight made contact with another runner on a number of occasions. Stewards considered an objection lodged by Jockey of second placegetter alleging interference in the home straight. After taking initial evidence Jockey made application to withdraw the objection however as stewards believed that the hearing was warranted the application was denied. On the evidence it was established that over the concluding stages gelding shifted out towards second placegetter for a considerable distance however both horses had an unimpeded run to the finish.
