Was bumped by another runner which shifted out abruptly on jumping. Was inclined to race ungenerously and hang in for some distance passing the 900 metres placing Jockey at a severe disadvantage. Jockey reported that the gelding was never comfortable in the soft track conditions and had got its tongue over the bit in running, causing it to race ungenerously. Trainer advised that it is his intention to implement a gear change prior to the gelding racing again, in order to rectify its racing manners.
