When afforded the opportunity to comment on the horse's performance, apprentice E. Ljung stated that the gelding was under pressure for the majority of the race, failed to respond to her riding and proved disappointing. She added that the gelding may take a fitness benefit from today's run. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings at the time of examination, however the veterinary surgeon recommended that the gelding undergo an endoscopic examination after the horse gallops. 28/2/17 - endoscope examination showed no abnormalities.

when questioned regarding the disappointing performance rider L McCoy stated the gelding travelled comfortably until near the 300 metres but when forced wider rounding the home-turn MUSIC SCENE blundered near the 200 metres and from that point on failed to let down in its usual manner. A post race Vet examination failed to reveal any abnormality
