Jolly Boy  When afforded the opportunity to comment on the performance, rider J. Stanley stated that the gelding began well and travelled comfortably until approaching the home straight but then proved disappointing when placed under pressure and in his opinion was disappointing. He added that he recommended to connections the addition of blinkers and a step up over further distances. Trainer H. Hayes advised that he will give consideration to the addition of blinkers and he will step the horse up in distance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities and a swab sample was taken.  Kilcoy  23/08/2015

Lily My Girl  Jockey M. Cahill reported it was anticipated that the mare would race more forward than it did today, however did not show its customary early speed and pulled hard in the middle stages. Leroy's Luck  Held up from leaving the 200m for a short distance and was then obliged to shift out to obtain clear running, and then again a short distance later was momentarily steadied when crowded for room approaching the winning post.  Beaudesert  28/08/2015

Outback Biff  Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the event. When questioned regarding the improved performance, trainer M. Kropp stated that whilst the horse has only had three starts for his stable, he had elected to make significant gear changes of removing the blinkers and tongue tie off the gelding for this start, and he attributed the improved performance to these changes. Stewards noted the explanation, but nonetheless advised Mr Kropp they would expect the horse to hold its form.  Ipswich  4/09/2015
