Jupiter Palm (NZ)  Trainer B. Wakefield stated no specific instructions issued to the rider other than to seek cover and attempt to race midfield from its wide barrier being the gelding's first start over this distance. Rider B. Grylls said her mount raced keenly early and she was unable to place it in a position with cover and elected to race near the tail of the field. She added that when the pace steadied near the 1300m the gelding settled and from that point on she had a trailing position, however she was forced to race wide after leaving the 600m. Water Boy (NZ)  When asked to comment on the performance, Jockey A Spinks stated that he was forced to place the gelding under pressure earlier than expected. Jockey Spinks added that the gelding then laid in under pressure during the home straight and in his opinion the 59kg impost today may have had a detrimental effect on the gelding's performance.  Gold Coast  8/08/2015

Charcoal Melody  Got near hind leg up on outside rail behind the barriers. Examined by vet and cleared to take its place in field. Cum Dividend  When questioned, apprentice B. Grylls stated that she had been instructed to ride the horse forward if possible and take a trail behind the leaders, however when it became apparent that she would be caught wide, she elected to allow her mount to stride forward and take up a position in the lead.  Doomben  11/07/2015 
Double Impact  Had difficulty obtaining clear running from the 400m until the 100m.  Doomben  1/08/2015 
Jopa  Held up for clear running approaching the 200m. J. Lloyd reported that in his opinion the horse did not handle the firm track conditions today. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. A swab sample was taken. Trainer reported horse had sustained a black eye. Blood tests taken after the event had failed to reveal any abnormalities and added that the horse had since worked well.  Doomben  15/08/2015 
Rudy  Raced 3 wide without cover throughout. When questioned as to the disappointing performance, App. Tarrant stated that the impost of 59kgs and the fact that the gelding was required to race 3 wide resulted in it weakening over the final 400m. Denarius  Lunged forward in the barriers prior to the start being effected. The horse was examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start. Had to be checked and clipped the heels of another runner near the 700m. Held up rounding the home turn.   Sunshine Coast  4/07/2015

Gully Command  Had to be restrained from heels near the 600m. Jockey was questioned regarding the tactics he adopted in the early stages. He stated that it was always his intention to race in a forward position either outside the leader or with a trail behind the leaders, however after beginning reasonably well, he was unable to cross runners to his inside and as a result he eased to took a trailing position. The explanation was noted.
