Isn't He a Beauty  Slow to begin. Commenced to hang out rounding the first turn out of the home straight and continued to do so for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities and a swab sample was taken. Trainer B. Not to Know  Commenced to over-race leaving the 1400m and was allowed to stride forward to take up a position in the lead near the 900m. Commenced to hang out leaving the 500m and continued to do so in the home straight, shifting out a considerable distance. Protest 2nd v 1st upheld.  Gold Coast  22/08/2015

Union  Leaving the 500m had to be checked after being brushed by TORBAY and then shifted in making contact with the running rail and as a result lost significant ground. At a subsequent inquiry stewards found that HORA SEXTA shifted in marginally making slight contact with TORBAY, which in turn shifted in and bumped UNION. After HORA SEXTA relieved the pressure TORBAY continued to lay in on top of UNION further crowding that runner. Stewards could not be satisfied that the actions of J. Byrne (HORA SEXTA) or C. Whiteley (TORBAY) were careless and as a result took no action.  Gold Coast  30/08/2015

Five Spices  When questioned as to the improved performance stable representative B. Rogers stated that the gelding raced greenly in its first start over 900m. Stella Ombra  Jockey T. Harrison reported the horse hung out badly throughout the race, made the home turn awkwardly and proved difficult to ride out in the straight because of the way it was racing. Bergdorf  Rider questioned regarding his riding from the 600m. Refer Stewards Report. He was advised that his ride at the vital stages of the race had come under notice and that he would be expected to fully test his mount out whenever possible.  Ipswich  19/08/2015 
Dazzling Halo  Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Jockey K. Yoshida was fined $100 for using his whip in a consecutive stride prior to the 100m.

Good Job Bro  Rider questioned re disappointing performance. She said after being caught wide in the early stages she was forced to work up the hill to enable her mount to cross to a position closer to the rails, which she felt was to its detriment, however when placed under pressure over the concluding stages the gelding failed to run on and proved disappointing. Tnr said the horse has a history of racing poorly when unable to obtain cover in its races, which he felt was a major contributing factor to the performance. Grappa Brandy  Jumped away awkwardly and lost ground. Held up between the 300m and until inside the 200m for clear running.
