Princess Charm  Questioned re: improved performance stable noted the filly was having its second race start. At its first start the filly, after being slow to begin, suffered interference during the early stages which contributed to its disappointing performance. Stable added that the filly began well today and was able to travel comfortably in a midfield position, which with the addition of blinkers contributed to the improved performance. Trainer reported that the filly suffered a hindleg injury subsequent to this start and was sent for a spell.  Gold Coast  9/05/2015

Terms of Trade  Stewards questioned A. Butler regarding his riding in the straight. He stated it was his intention to stay one off the rail and following PHOTOBOMB, and when there was no clear running forward of him and STAGE EXIT was forward to his outside, he was unable to improve until near the 200m when STAGE EXIT shifted ground under pressure and clear running become available, at which time he placed his mount under pressure and it made ground.   Rockhampton  6/11/2015

I'm Hector  R. Fradd reported that he placed the gelding under pressure leaving the 800m in a attempt to improve his position, however it commenced to lay out and as a result was forced to race extremely wide rounding the home turn. Jockey Fradd noted that the gelding was first up from a spell today and would improve over further distances.  Ipswich  11/11/2015 
King Ludwig  Stewards questioned jockey regarding her tactics, in particular in the early stages of the race where she allowed the gelding to stride forward to a position 5 lengths ahead of the rest of the field. Rider reported that her instructions were to allow the horse to stride forward in the early stages and obtain a lead over the rest of the field before allowing the horse to settle comfortably in the middle stages. Trainer confirmed the instructions. As this was in accordance with the horse's regular racing pattern, Stewards noted the explanation and took the matter no further.  Toowoomba  14/11/2015

Palmera Lad  Questioned re riding early stages - App stated rode vigorously early in effort to get horse travelling as it had been slow to muster speed in previous starts. Approaching first turn happy to surrender lead to runners outside her but they were appeared content to remain to her outside which left her in the lead. Trainer advised instructions to be handy with cover from inside barrier. Stewards advised App that she had erred in riding her amount along for a considerable distance in early stages which resulted in the gelding settling in the lead in contrast to its established racing pattern.  Ipswich  18/11/2015
