Hammersley stated that he had no specific instructions other than to ride the horse where it was comfortable and to not take cover immediately after the start. Jockey Hammersley added that the horse had been travelling comfortably when racing outside of VOLKHERE so he elected to allow it to stride forward. Lady Jetsetter  Stewards questioned App J. Orman regarding the reason for him remaining 3 wide in the early stages when it appeared he had the opportunity to restrain and take cover behind STELLARCRAFT. A post race veterinary examination of the mare failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.

Max It Out  When questioned re disappointing performance rider stated that she was forced to ride hard in the early stages to clear MOCK ME NOT and JE SUIS PREST to obtain the lead. Rider added she was able to steady the tempo in middle stages however, once pressured by JE SUIS PREST approaching 400m her mount failed to respond to her riding and in her view was disappointing. Unbowed  When questioned regarding the riding tactics adopted today which were in contrast to the gelding's most recent start when it led, apprentice Fancourt stated she had similar instructions today as she had in previous starts, which was to obtain cover, however the circumstances of the race at its last resulted in the horse obtaining the lead.
