Added gelding failed to quicken as expected and despite having clear running for entire home straight was unable to run leader down. Explanation noted.

Harrison stated that at the 600m the gelding was travelling strongly behind the short-priced favourite, which she anticipated improving into the race, affording her the opportunity to follow it into the event, however rounding the home turn and entering the home straight she was held up on that horse's heels and was unable to shift out when STORMY GREY had improved to her outside. She added that the gelding was reluctant to improve in between runners when the opportunity presented.
