Lady Lark Rider reported at scale that when her mount began well she elected to press forward and take a position outside the leader. Doomben 25/02/2017
Pinch Passion After leaving 800m steadied away from heels and then shifted outwards. Then unable to return to the position it held when when another runner improved to its inside. Lost an off hind plate in running. Doomben 25/02/2017

Divine Centuri When asked to comment on the horse’s performance, R. Wiggins indicated that whilst the horse had difficulty securing clear running in the early stages of the home straight, it weakened over the concluding stages, which he felt could be attributed to the horse having its first start from a significant spell and would take improvement from the run. Miss Arabella When q'd re perf, rdr mount began well & settled behind lead, but btw 1200m and 100m was continually bumped and unbalanced, when carried wider and from that point failed to travel. P/R vet exam rev no abs. Trnr felt being forced to race wide throughout after being hampered were the reasons behind the disap perf. Said he would experiment with gear but filly does have a tendency to OR and with intentions to step up in dist the reap of blks not not be suitable. Subsq rptd filly had pulled up well. Daph 'n' Alf J. Byrne was questioned regarding the tactics he adopted on the gelding. He explained that he had no specific instructions and after jumping well from his wide alley he elected to steady his mount to find cover as he believed he did not have the pace to race in a handy position. He added that the gelding laid out throughout the event and did not handle the track conditions today. Eagle Farm 04/03/2017
Cantbuybetter On returning to sale, apprentice B. Nothdurft reported that his saddle shifted back on jumping away, and as a result his mount raced ungenerously for a short distance in the early stages of the event. Steadied to avoid the heels of another runner near the 750m. Placed in restricted room when attempting to secure clear running in the home straight as a result of TISANI TOMSO shifting in. It's Vegas Baby Inclined to overrace rounding the first turn and in the middle stages. Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Ballina 17/02/2017
Sunny Fame Bumped on jumping. Overraced approaching and rounding the first turn. Inclined to overrace in the middle stages. At the entrance to the straight was obliged to ease when disappointed for a run and shift in around heels to continue to improve. Grafton 13/02/2017

La Dolce Vita Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped GO BETTER. The veterinary surgeon reported post-race that the mare was showing signs of the thumps and also suffering from mild heat stress. Gold Coast 18/02/2017
Viaductress Began awkwardly & inconvenienced shortly after. Rider stated that her mount was relaxed in the barriers today, did not travel on the bridle during the race and failed to let down under her riding in the straight. Trainer stated that the mare had worked extremely well in the lead up & he thought it would be hard to beat & was at a loss to explain the perf. Added that the mare had pulled up well subseq. and he would now consider the mare’s immediate racing plans. Post-race vet exam rev no abs.. Goulburn 01/09/2016

Quelle Liaison Prior to the declaration of correct weight stewards considered an objection lodged 3rd vs 1st - protest dismissed. At the entrance to the straight was bumped on hindquarters and was slightly unbalanced. Near the 100m when inlcined to lay in was bumped on the hindquarters and turn in and became badly unbalnaced as a result. Over the concluding stages was bumped and slightly unbalanced. Start Dreamin Commenced to buck shortly after the start and did so for a considerable distance, resulting in the mare taking no competitive part in the event. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the near fore shoulder. Trainer P. Butterworth was advised that the mare would be required to perform satisfactorily in an official trial, and a veterinary clearance must be produced prior before being permitted to start again. Open Book Raced wide without cover throughout. When questioned as to performance Jockey J Parr noted the gelding was fractious prior to start. Jockey Parr added that whilst the gelding was obliged to race wide without cover he was under pressure leaving the 500m and was most disappointing. Trainer T Edmonds noted the gelding was having its first start for his stable and was at a loss to explain the performance. Mr Edmonds indicated he may freshen the gelding up before its next start and undertook to report to stewards any abnormalities subsequent to the race. Post-race vet exam – no abnormalities. Havasay When questioned regarding his riding in the early stages jockey D. Browne stated that after beginning fairly he attempted to position one off the fence by forcing SPUR LE JOUER closer to the rail, but when apprentice T. Brooker held her position one off he was then forced to race 3 wide. He further added that as the pace was only moderate in the early stages he elected to improve his position leaving the 800m and continued to race 3 wide, and, in his opinion, the gelding only finished the race off fairly. Real Ego Improved on to heels near the 900m when the pace was only steady in the early stages, was then shifted wider to avoid heels and then raced three wide without cover from the 800m onwards. Sunshine Coast 26/02/2017
