Race 2
Keep On Rocking Jockey D. Browne was asked to comment on the performance of the horse. He indicted the pace of the race did not suit the gelding and when asked for an effort his mount did not respond and proved very disappointing in the run to the line. Trainer G. Duncan advised he would now consider sending the horse for a spell and would advised stewards of any abnormality that becomes apparent. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Mr Duncan indicated that no abnormalities were found though the horse would be sent for a short spell. Get On the Grange Raced keenly in the middle stages, resulting in its rider allowing the gelding to stride forward near the 900m, whereby it raced wide without cover for the remainder of the event. Taken wider on the home turn. Royal Randwick 24/06/2017

Colour of Money Jockey J. Lloyd reported that he intended to be in a midfield position, however after being slightly slow to begin and then placed in restricted room shortly after the start he was obliged to settle further back than anticipated. He added that he was reluctant to place undue pressure on the horse from a wide barrier to obtain a midfield position, so he was content to restrain to a one-off position towards the tail of the field. Mr Epic Held up near the 400m and shifted out to obtain clear running and bumped EL CAMPEADOR. When questioned regarding the performance of the horse, jockey M. McGuren stated he had anticipated being in a more forward position, however due to the slow tempo, was unable to work into the race. Rockhampton 24/06/2017
Idle Situation Trainer G. Baker advised that it would be the intention to have the gelding ridden more forward. The horse was ridden accordingly. Laid in under pressure for the majority of the home straight. Beaudesert 24/06/2017

Magic I Am A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare had a slow recovery and was exhibiting an abnormal respiratory noise. Trainer T. Edmonds was advised that prior to the horse racing again he will be required to produce a veterinary clearance, including the results of an endoscopic examination. Chandana Rdr std intended taking up a handy position, however was caught wide in the early stages without cover. Said he was able to briefly obtain cover app the 600m, but was one-paced to the finish of the race. Post-race vet exam rev a speedy cut to the off-hind fetlock. Stable rep stated, following its poor perf, the mare will now be transferred out of the stable. Trn std he was happy with post race condition, however the mare has now been spelled. Suggan Buggan Bumped by another runner after passing the 600m and continued to be buffeted by that runner until passing the 400m. Stable representative M. Sharp and jockey R. Stewart were questioned regarding the tactics adopted. Miss Sharp indicated it had been the intention to ride the horse positively out of the barriers at the horse’s only previous start,howeverit had been slow to begin and was therefore ridden at the tail of the field. She indicated again the intention was to be positive out of the barriers however did not expect the horse would begin as well as it did today and was therefore further Sunshine Coast 11/06/2017
