Treasure Gallery Began awkwardly and lost ground. When questioned regarding the horse’s performance, jockey L. Londregan stated that after beginning awkwardly and losing ground, the gelding failed to respond to his riding and proved disappointing. Beaudesert 24/06/2017
 
Race 2
Elite Force Stewards questioned jockey S. Bogenhuber regarding the disappointing performance of her mount. Jockey Bogenhuber advised that after being caught wide she was forced to do more work than she had anticipated in the early stages, nevertheless after travelling comfortably throughout the race was disappointed with the manner in which the horse finished the race off over the concluding stages. A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be lame in the off fore leg. Toowoomba 30/07/2016

Regnant Hung out on the bends. Jockey L. Rolls explained that the horse began well, however commenced to hang out shortly after. He said after being crossed by other runners it appeared to resent racing in behind those horses, dropped the bit and despite his urgings lost ground. He said at its only jump-out the filly was able to lead, however in his opinion it would benefit from today's racing experience, adding that his mount was uncomfortable in the soft track conditions. All Pluck Trainer T. Gollan was fined $100 for failing to declare a rider for the horse by the prescribed time. Laid in under pressure in the home straight, forcing its rider to stop riding and straighten over the concluding stages. Raced 3 wide without cover. Sunshine Coast 14/06/2017
Red Mahogany Placed in restricted room at the 750m and again at the 700m. When questioned regarding the seemingly disappointing performance, jockey N. Tomizawa advised Stewards that the horse began only reasonably well and failed to muster the early speed that he had anticipated. He added that after receiving some tightening on two occasions near the 700m, the gelding failed to travel from that point and proved very disappointing over the concluding stages. Jomar's Element Jumped away awkwardly and shifted out, hampering KOOROC. With regard to the performance of the horse, jockey A. Coome stated the horse had travelled fairly and was able to obtain a comfortable position, however from the 400m failed to respond to his riding and was of the opinion the horse may have felt the firm track today. Turkana Bumped shortly after start became unbalanced. Rider questioned re performance - stated after being bumped at start and with strong early tempo content to settle in midfield position with cover.Added passing 500m attempted to improve between THE MONK and THE LYNCHES but steadied when placed in restricted room. Following this gelding failed to respond as expected and in his opinion proved disappointing. Trainer stated his pre-race intention gelding would settle closer to speed however still disappointed in failure to finish race as expected. Indicated may step up in distance next start. Dazzling Shiraz Shifted out at the start and lost ground. Caught racing wide in the early stages and was allowed to improve forward to assume the lead near the 1100m. Beaudesert 24/06/2017
Future Event Began awkwardly and then failed to muster speed despite the efforts of its rider. Trainer J. Zielke was afforded the opportunity to comment on the horse’s seemingly improved performance. He stated that the gelding was well suited as it was back in grade today and was also suited by the increase in distance. He added that in his opinion the gelding will appreciate stepping up to a mile in future. Stewards noted his explanation. Rider R. He's a Natural Rider questioned tactics middle stages after relinquishing position outside of SWEET SHAMROCK - stated from wide barrier content to restrain to obtain position outside SWEET SHAMROCK towards rear of field. Added approaching 700m obliged to steady from heels of PURE WHISPER and lost ground. At the same time SWEET SHAMROCK commenced to improve on the back of the eventual winner DUSTMAN and elected to follow these runners into race. Had difficulty obtaining clear running passing 200m and noted gelding first up today and would be better suited over 1400m. Explanation noted. Gold Coast 25/06/2017

Says Me Apprentice A. Fancourt reported her mount when placed at the rear of the field and given the pace of the race was unable to make sufficient ground in the straight. Rockhampton 24/06/2017
Social Conquest Jockey R. Stewart was found guilty of a charge of careless riding in that he allowed his mount to shift in near the 900m, resulting in that horse being taken in on to the rightful running of BOLD GYPSY, which in turn was taken in on to SECRET MO, which was taken in to the rightful running of BITHARD, which was racing on the inside, resulting in that gelding being taken in and making contact with the fence and having to be severely checked by its rider. In this incident, jockey J. McNeil also had to take hold of BOLD GYPSY, which lost ground. Jockey Stewart was suspended from riding in races Sunshine Coast 01/07/2017

In the Kitty When questioned regarding the tactics adopted on the horse and the performance today, jockey R. McMahon stated he had been instructed to ride the mare more conservatively today to allow it to run out a strong 2200m, and that whilst his mount travelled well in the middle stages, it was under pressure prior to the home turn. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be coughing. Trainer B. Smith will be interviewed regarding today's performance. Eagle Farm 06/08/2016
