Miss White was advised that stewards would follow up with her in the coming days as to the horse’s recovery.

When questioned as to the tactics adopted, Jockey A Allen stated that from the wide barrier he was obliged to pressure the gelding in the early stages to obtain a forward position. Once he obtained a position outside of SMASHED IT, Jockey Allen attempted to restrain the gelding at which point it continued to race strongly despite his efforts resulting in him having to obtain another hold on his reins leaving the 700m. Jockey Allen stated that his intention during the middle stages was to sit back off SMASHED IT, however, the gelding refused to settle. Stewards accepted the explanation.
