Valfierno Hung out shortly after entering the home straight and initiated contact with JUSTIFY, which had also been inclined to lay in. Both horses became unbalanced for a short distance passing the 300m. Sunshine Coast 12/09/2018
 
Race 4
Show 'em Over raced during the early stages. Stewards questioned Jockey E Ljung in relation to the seemingly poor performance. Jockey Ljung advised that after beginning well the gelding obtained a forward position however shortly after the start it commenced to over race and proved difficult to restrain until a point near the 700m. She added that from passing the 600m, the gelding commenced to weaken and in her opinion was most disappointing. Trainer T Sears expressed disappointment in the geldings performance however noted in his opinion it is better suited when able to obtain cover in its races. A po Toowoomba 08/09/2018

Yarborough Began awkwardly and jumped out, making contact with another runner. Dipped near the 500m, commenced to hang out and shifted wider on the track. Hung out in the home straight. Ipswich 05/09/2018
A Tisket a Tasket A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be lame in the off hind leg. Connections were advised that a veterinary clearance must be provided prior to its next race start. Raced wide without cover. Sunshine Coast 29/07/2018

Doom Badly hampered when tightened for room shortly after the start and lost ground. Approaching the 200m was obliged to alter course to the inside of SNOOPER to secure clear running and in doing so bumped FLYPAST and became unbalanced for a short distance. Gold Coast 01/09/2018

Out For Justice Began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped HENRYS AFFAIR. When questioned as to the seemingly improved performance, Trainer J Pritchard stated that the colt was first up from a spell and had trialled well leading into today’s event and as such she anticipated a forward showing. Ms Pritchard added that the colt was not suited by firm tracks towards the end of its 2 year old campaign. Her explanation was noted. Gold Coast 01/09/2018

Shez a Rockin'toff Began awkwardly. Near the 400m shifted out and made slight contact with STELLA VICTORIA, which shifted out and inconvenienced AVALANCHE. Ipswich 29/08/2018
Morion Bumped shortly after the start when inconvenienced. Gold Coast 01/09/2018
Nonchalante checked and lost significant ground when tightened between runners on jumping away. Held up and unable to improve between the 500m and 300 metres. Obliged to shift in to obtain clear running approaching 100m Nanango 08/09/2018

Mogul Raced wide in the early stages before obtaining a position outside the leader passing the 900m. Gold Coast 01/09/2018
Choreograph Jockey D. Smith, rider of SHONECK AFFAIR, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding in that he allowed his mount to shift in leaving the 1300m when not sufficiently clear of CHOREOGRAPH, which resulted in that gelding being tightened for room, and causing jockey J. Byrne to take hold of that gelding at that point of the event and having to take evasive action to avoid the heels of SHONECK AFFAIR. Jockey Smith was suspended from riding in races for a period of 13 days, to commence at midnight, 15 September and to expire at midnight, 28 September. Wisdom Tree When the pace slackened near the 1000m commenced to race keenly and near the 800m was steadied and shifted out to avoid heels. Held up rounding the home turn and on straightening made contact with a runner on a number of occasions when improving into a narrow run. Newcastle 04/09/2018

Rhyming Trainer S. Tregea advised that from the wide barrier it would be the intention to have the mare ridden back in the field. The horse was ridden accordingly. Sunshine Coast 01/09/2018
Canberra Raced keenly in the early stages. Held up rounding the home turn. Disappointed for a run near the 100m and went to the line without being fully tested. Ipswich 05/09/2018

Iowa Slow to begin. A post race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the near foreleg consistent with being galloped on. Ipswich 29/08/2018
Arc Light When questioned regarding the improved performance, Trainer B Baldwin explained that the mare was having its first race start for his stable. He added that when ARC LIGHT first arrived at his stable he was advised that the mare had some poor racing characteristics which led to poor performances. He further added that these characteristics had improved under his care resulting in the mare performing well in 3 recent jump-outs. Gold Coast 25/08/2018
