Confusion When asked to comment on the performance rider S Thornton advised the horse travelled comfortably during the race, however when placed under pressure from the 500m failed to respond to her riding and was disappointing, adding CONFUSION may not have appreciated today’s prevailing track conditions. Billionair Baby Bumped heavily on jumping with RECOMMENDATION. Disappointed for a run near the 300m and was unable to secure clear running until the 250m. Eagle Farm 30/07/2022
Bumped with SEA COMMITS near the 400m. Raced in restricted room rounding the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight. Momentarily held up on the heels of MISHANI KINGDOM approaching the 250m before shifting to the outside approaching the 200m to obtain clear running. Doomben 13/07/2022
Hard To Say Shortly after the start was bumped. Rdr reported, whilst he had to make some use of the gelding to cross to the lead in the early stages, his mnt still travelled well throughout the middle stages. Std when he placed mnt under pressure rounding the home turn it failed to respond to his riding and weakened. Added in his opinion, the gelding may not have handled carrying the 60.5kg in today’s race. A post-race vet exam revealed no abs. Wyong 24/11/2022
Mishani Warfare Connections advised of a change of tactics whereby the gelding is to be ridden further back in the field than previous starts if circumstances allow. Ridden accordingly. Inclined to lay out from the 600m until rounding the home turn. Rider J. Morris reported that his mount was inclined to hang out for a major part of the race. Rdr reported he was instructed to obtain cover and he anticipated this would be behind the leaders. Std, from an awkward barrier, when it became apparent he was going to be unable to obtain a position with cover behind the leaders, he was obliged to settle further back with cover. Tnr confirmed the instructions, however, had anticipated settling closer to the leaders. Std the reason he issued those instructions were because it was apparent to him that horses racing with cover and being able to make a run to the outside seemed to be advantaged today. Rdr reported he anticipated settling in a more forward position, however, after being crowded shortly after the start he was obliged to settle further back than intended. Std after settling towards the rear of the field he was satisfied with the manner in which his mnt finished off its race in the straight. A post-race vet exam revealed no abs. When questioned re racing in a more forward position, rdr std with blinkers being applied for the first time today he had been instructed to ensure the gelding commenced well and to hold a more forward position, if possible. Tnr confirmed the instructions issued and advised that those instructions had been consistent at the gelding’s most recent starts, however it failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position, which prompted him to apply the blinkers today.
