Mishani Renegade Jumped away awkwardly and shifted in abruptly. Passing the 800m had to be eased off the heels of MISHANI RAIDER which shifted in abruptly and overraced for a shoft distance after. Held up for a short distance on entering the home straight. Eagle Farm 29/10/2022

Risky Investment Prior to the declaration of correct weight, stewards considered a request from co-trainer Mr T Button to have the colt declared a non-runner on the grounds of being denied a fair start. After reviewing the stewards patrol footage, stewards found that as the start was affected, the colt reared in the barriers, striking its head on the barrier partition and as a consequence, lost ground at the start. Stewards further determined that the actions of the barrier attendant assisting the colt in the barriers were inconsequential and if not for the colt’s own barrier manners. Rhyme Time Blundered on jumping. Unable to improve between 600m & 350m when held up on heels. When quest rdr stated mount travelled only fairly t/out early stages in a handy posn. Rdr stated mount failed to let down strongly rounding the h/turn & only ground way to line. Rdr stated mount may not have appreciated Good (3) track conditions & would appreciate a step up in distance. P/R vet exam no ab's. Ballina 16/12/2022

Near the 1500 metres commenced to buck for some distance and as a result was restrained out of the race. Rider Mark Zahra reported the saddle slipped back slightly at the start which may have contributed to the incident. The Valley 18/03/2022
Roller Coaster (NZ) Over raced early, improved onto heels and shifted out near the 1400m. Jockey R Fradd reported that the gelding raced greenly when placed under pressure in the home straight. Aquis Park Gold Coast 03/12/2022
Tarex (NZ) Overraced in the early and middle stages. Laid in severely in the home straight placing its rider at a disadvantage. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be exhibiting the thumps. Eagle Farm 17/12/2022
On returning to scale, jockey M Harley reported that the gelding was inclined to lay in from the 600m and when placed under pressure, failed to run on as he had expected and in his opinion was disappointing. As the veterinary surgeon was required to attend to an injured horse, a veterinary examination was unable to be carried out, however stewards will follow up with trainer L Mayfield-Smith in the days following today’s event in relation to the gelding’s post-race recovery. Approaching the 150m became awkwardly placed on the heels of MORI’S PRESS, and after shifting out was unable to obtain clear running when racing in restricted room between MORI’S PRESS and CHATTY LADY and as a result was unable to be fully tested in the run to the line. Najmaty Bounded on jumping and lost ground, and from the outside barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages. Rdr reported with the tempo being moderate through the early and middle stages, his mnt raced keenly and got its head up for some distance, and due to its racing manners in the early and middle stages it did not close off the race. Rdr reported his mnt was not suited when the race developed into a sprint home, but he was not overly disappointed with its performance. Ljungberg LJUNGBERG – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination as it had not started for an extended period and was passed fit to run. Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. Over raced in the early stages. Inconvenienced near the 800m when being crossed by CHILLIWACK. Stewards when considering the interference suffered to the gelding and noting jockey Robertson’s evidence that the horse was racing very ungenerously and exacerbated the incident.
