The start of the race was delayed 10 minutes due to URULOKI being very unruly in its preliminary and as a result was led to the barriers riderless. On arrival at the barriers was inspected by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start. Missed the start and failed to stretch out in the first 300 metres and finished tailed off. Stewards ordered that the horse barrier trial under race conditions prior to its next start. |
