When questioned regarding leading by a significant margin throughout the race, Rider stated that her intentions were to lead and after beginning well, was allowed to do this with relative ease. She added that although she was aware of the gap she had placed on the rest of the field from the vicinity of the 700m onwards, she felt that when trying to restrain, her mount resented her actions and therefore allowed her mount to stride forward. She further added that she was pleased with the finishing effort of the gelding.
