Fazackerley advised that his mount began well and travelled comfortably in the early and middle stages, however when placed under pressure whilst rounding the home turn, the gelding failed to respond to his riding and proved disappointing. Co-trainer M. Sears advised that in light of today’s performance, the stable will now give consideration to sending the gelding for an immediate spell. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.
