When asked to comment rider J Orman stated LUCIFER’S LOOT was inclined to hang out in the home straight placing him at some disadvantage and being unable to fully test the horse over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor post-race recovery. Trainer N McCall was advised the horse would require a veterinary clearance, including a satisfactory ECG report, prior to its next race start. A swab sample was taken from LUCIFER’S LOOT.

A post-race vet exam revealed no abs. Tnr advised in his opinion the gelding did not handle the track conditions as it has previously failed on a heavy track. Tnr subsequently advised he was satisfied with the post-race condition of the gelding and reiterated it was not suited by the heavy track conditions.
