Approaching the winning post had to be steadied away from the heels of KALENDS which shifted out under pressure and as a result bumped VALIANT JOAN. Spirit Queen Bumped on jumping. Raced three-wide in the early stages before being ridden forward to obtain a forward position one off the fence near the 800m. Jockey B Thompson reported that despite doing some work in the early stages, in his opinion the filly was entitled to finish the race off in a better manner than which it did over the concluding stages. Tereshkova Momentarily steadied from the heels of RED HOT LOVE approaching the 1000m when that runner laid inwards despite the efforts of its rider. Over raced for the majority of the event. Spill The Secret Raced wide for the majority of the event. When asked to comment on the performance rider R Jamieson reported the horse the horse hung out rounding the home turn and did not appreciate the prevailing track conditions. Rdr stated mount failed to sprint on straightening & he did not test it over the final 200m when a beaten horse. P/R vet exam revealed laceration over near hind flexor tendon. Approaching the 1000m steadied from the heels of VALIANT JOAN which shifted back to the rail after having been shifted momentarily wider after being crossed by KALENDS. B Loy, rider of VALIANT JOAN, was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances. Approaching the 300m was hampered when awkwardly placed at the heels of the weakening BONNIE VALE. Bumped on jumping. Travelled keenly in the middle stages. When quest re perf. rdr stated with fast early tempo he took a sit behind leader. Rdr stated mount was held up app & rounding h/turn however when run presented on straightening it failed to sprint strongly through it. Rdr stated he steadied mount when run closed at 300m however he placed his mount under whip pressure for remainder of event & it found line fairly. Rdr stated mount does not appear to have a quick turn of foot & may be better suited leading & working into a sprint at it did at last start win. P/R vet exam no ab's. Grafton 14/07/2022

Fastconi Rdr std mnt travelled comfortably in a midfield position, however when the pace quickened approaching the home turn, it came under pressure & was disappointing in the manner in which it failed to close off in the straight. A post-race vet exam revealed no abs. Kensington 10/08/2022

Slow to begin. When asked to comment on the performance, jockey J Orman stated that in his opinion the mare would take benefit from today’s run and also indicated that in his opinion it would be best suited to distances further than today’s event. Trainer J Bruce, whilst satisfied with the mares performance, indicated that it would now be his intention to step the mare up in distance. A swab sample was taken. Ipswich 02/12/2022

Gracie Blue Travelled keenly app & rounding 1st turn. When quest re riding near 900m, in particular why when travelling comfortably outside the leader she elected to ride mount along to improve with, & hold a posn inside, a runner which improved around her mount in 3 wide posn rdr stated up to that point her mount had enjoyed moderate sectionals. Rdr stated when runner improved around her mount she was concerned it might be difficult to run down appreciating moderate early tempo & its light weigh impost. Rdr stated for this reason she elected to improve with it & dictate terms. Ballina 16/12/2022
