When questioned regarding the performance, jockey B Thornton stated that the gelding raced very keenly in the early stages when he was endeavoring to obtain cover from the wide barrier however, he was unable to secure a position with cover close to the rail and was obliged to race wide throughout. Jockey Thornton added that considering the circumstances, he was not disappointed with the gelding’s effort. Trainer R Beaton advised stewards that she was not disappointed in the performance of the gelding considering it was obliged to race wide.
