Correct weight was delayed to allow stewards to determine whether the gelding was afforded a fair start. After viewing the film it was established that the horse reared as the start was effected and lost considerable ground and therefore stewards were satisfied that it was afforded a fair start and declared correct weight on the Judge's placings. Trainer's representative was advised that a warning would be placed against the gelding's barrier manners. |

Began awkwardly. When questioned regarding the tactics adopted, in particular setting a quick tempo in the early and middle stages, trainer stated that the filly's best runs have been when it has been allowed to roll along in front and attempt to run the field off its feet. Mr Hansen added that the filly does not appreciate being overly restrained or racing around other horses and is much better suited by the tactics adopted today. Mr Hansen added the filly has never raced on a surface worse than good before and he is not convinced it appreciated the soft track conditions today.
