Lord Darius  Bumped its near-side hip when entering the saddling enclosure. A subsequent veterinary examination cleared the horse to start. The horse lost its near hind plate and when this plate was unable to be replaced, the off side plate was removed and the horse was permitted to race barefoot behind. Hung out from the 800m. A warning was placed on the horse's overall performance as it weakened badly in the home straight.   Sunshine Coast  3/04/2016

Cheekyboi  Rider questioned RE: The horse's seemingly improved performance. He stated previous start was over a shorter distance than today's event, the gelding was not suited by the quick early pace and was unable to take up a forward position, however the horse found the line strongly over the concluding stages. He added that with the step back up in distance today in a smaller field, the gelding was able to take up a forward position and travelled comfortably throughout, which he believed attributed to the improved performance. Trainer G. Cornish agreed with jockey Taylor's assessment.

Lost Thief  Bumped at the start and became unbalanced. Approaching the 1600m had to be steadied after improving quickly to the inside of runner which was shifting in. Bumped heavily near the 200m. Near the 100m shifted in and bumped runner.

Plenty of Cash  Carried wider rounding the home turn. A post race veterinary
examination of the gelding which raced wide without cover revealed no
abnormalities.

Prouder  On return to scale Apprentice E. Ljung reported to Stewards that in the early stages there was an opportunity to hold a position behind the leader and to the inside of CEBILE however her pre- race instructions were to ride filly at the tail of the field. Apprentice Ljung added that therefore she restrained PROUDER and allowed CEBILE to cross shortly after passing the winning post on the first occasion. Visona Red  When asked to comment on the performance, jockey D. Browne indicated that he recommended to trainer S. Extra Shot  Change of tactics. Connections advised that the gelding would be ridden more forward if circumstances permit. The horse was ridden accordingly. Steadied to avoid heels shortly after the start. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.

Little Miss Molly  When questioned into his riding of the mare over the final stages of the race rider P. Romeo stated that his instructions were to lead however it was unable to muster enough speed to do so and as a result raced very wide and was a spent force rounding the home turn and for this reason did not place the horse under any pressure over the concluding stages. His explanation was noted.

Sirocan  At the request of jockey Goltz, a post race veterinary examination was undertaken where no abnormalities were detected. Trainer R. Smith advised that in light of jockey Goltz's report following the event, she would now have her veterinary surgeon undertake a full veterinary examination of the horse in the days subsequent to the event, the results of which she will report to stewards.
