| Cheekyboi | Rider questioned RE: The horse's seemingly improved performance. He stated previous start was over a shorter distance than today's event, the gelding was not suited by the quick early pace and was unable to take up a forward position, however the horse found the line strongly over the concluding stages. He added that with the step back up in distance today in a smaller field, the gelding was able to take up a forward position and travelled comfortably throughout, which he believed attributed to the improved performance. Trainer G. Cornish agreed with jockey Taylor's assessment. |
