Seveneez Jockey Beau Appo reported that, in his opinion, the gelding was not suited today when being challenged for the lead by another runner, and it would therefore be better suited if able to obtain an unchallenged lead in its races. Archade Stewards acceded to a request from Trainer D. Forster for the gelding to race without blinkers. Steadied to avoid heels shortly after the start. Dalby 05/04/2018
Bergins Pocket Hung out rounding the home turn and shifted wider on the track. Trainer P. Duff was advised that a warning will be placed on the horse’s racing manners. Dalby 05/04/2018

Supersonic Boom Raced greenly throughout the event, and as a result raced wide without cover for the majority. Laid in under pressure in the home straight and proved difficult to ride out. Toowoomba 31/12/2017
Bard of Armagh Fractious in the barriers and began awkwardly, losing 2 lengths. Steadied from heels near the 700m. When questioned regarding the horse’s performance, Q. Krogh said that after beginning poorly and mustering speed, he elected to come wide leaving the 600m, however he felt that the horse was under pressure from that point and he felt the horse did not appreciate the tight turning track. It was also noted that nearing the home turn it was bumped by another runner. Jockey Krogh felt it was disappointing and he was of the view the horse performs best when able to lead or be in a forward postion. Beaudesert 02/04/2018
 
Race 3
Fourgrandman Connections advised that the horse would be ridden more forward if circumstances permit. After beginning only fairly, despite the efforts of its rider, the horse was unable to take up a forward position. Beaudesert 02/04/2018
Guacamole During the preliminary GUACAMOLE dislodged its rider and made contact with the fence at the rear of the 1600m chute. Upon veterinary examination it was found that the gelding had sustained a laceration to the near side stifle, and was withdrawn by Stewards on veterinary advice. Toowoomba 15/04/2018

The Danger Questioned re tactcis - noted generally leads and from the inside barrier intention to adopt similar tactics. After beginning fairly obliged to pressure in an effort to obtain a forward position. Was hopeful of holding SUILVEN out and obtaining lead however, when SUILVEN continued to press forward eventually elected to steady and allow that runner to cross forward of her near 1000m. Expressed surprise at tactics adopted on SUILVEN given that at its two most recent starts it settled in a handy position with cover. Explanation noted. Ipswich 04/04/2018

Margot Commenced to weaken shortly after entering the straight, and brushed the running rail on its own accord on a number of occasions. When questioned by Stewards regarding the performance, jockey N. Tomizawa advised that the filly has been racing for a long period of time and has travelled from Melbourne to Toowoomba and, in his opinion, may be at the end of its preparation. Trainer B. Si Si Sequalo Jumped awkwardly. When questioned regarding her tactics, apprentice H. English stated that she was instructed to lead on the gelding at all costs, as she had done at its previous start at Doomben, as it was the opinion of the stable that the gelding does not appreciate racing behind horses. She added that approaching the 800m, when Ms Harrison on LET’S PARTY MARTY was reluctant to move to the fence, she then realised that if she raced outside LET’S PARTY MARTY, she would be forced to race in a three wide position.
