Hi Fiver Began awkwardly. Over the final 100m was slightly inconvenienced when attempting to secure clear running to the outside of LIU BEI, and over the final 50m was obliged to shift back to the inside. On return to scale, connections of the 3rd placegetter, HI FIVER, viewed the stewards patrol film in the home straight to ascertain if they had grounds to lodge a protest against LIE BEI being declared the winner. Princely Sum Overraced in the early and middle stages and had to be restrained from heels on a number of occasions. Ipswich 04/07/2018
Higher Love Trainer Mr. P. Nolan Jnr. advised that the gelding has always worked well, however it had raced greenly at its first start. He added that the gelding had improved in its work in the lead up to today’s race and, in his opinion, it appreciated the step up in distance today as well as the drop in weight. Spectrums Rhythm Raced wide without cover throughout the event. Layed out round the home turn. App Stephanie Thornton could offer no explanation for the performance of the filly. A post veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality. Sale 14/06/2018

Sona Dancer A post race veterinary examination of the horse, which raced in a handy position and weakened over the final stages and proved disappointing, failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. When questioned regarding the performance of the filly, rider T. Harrison explained that from the wide barrier today she had to apply a little more pressure in the early stages to obtain the lead than she would have liked, and during the race was slightly pressured by a runner to her outside. She further added that at its last start the filly obtained a soft lead on a tighter track without being pressured Sunshine Coast 15/07/2018

Coolmunda Trainer P. Sexton advised that it would be the intention for the filly to be ridden more forward today if circumstances permit. The filly settled in the second half of the field. Raced fiercely for some distance in the early and middle stages, and proved difficult to restrain. Stewards questioned jockey J. Oliver regarding the tactics adopted. Refer full report. Fanx Very difficult to load. Warning placed on gelding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities, however the veterinary surgeon reported that the gelding had lost the off hind plate and loosened Doomben 20/12/2017
Red Monkey Clipped the heels of ZILITOR whilst overracing approaching the 1200m and, as a result, N. Fazackerley lost the use of his right stirrup for a short distance. Gatton 19/07/2018
Takes Time Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Steadied near the 700m when obliged to race in restricted room and then overraced and was steadied near the 600m. Checked when tightened for room leaving the 50m. Stewards inquired into the circumstances of this incident and established that MORION, which was racing to the outside of TAKES TIME, had laid in under pressure in the home straight, causing its rider to stop riding and straighten near the 150m and again, despite the efforts of its rider, over the final 50m. Jaydee Indy Began very awkwardly, bumped its gate and then tailed out throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings other than that the horse was listless. Trainer K. Young was advised that the horse would be required to trial satisfactorily before being permitted to start again, and a veterinary clearance would be required.
