She added on return to scale the stablehand handling the horse indicated the filly appeared to have its tongue over the bit and this may have caused the poor performance. Trainer M. Mair indicated that the distance of today's event may not have been suitable for the filly at this stage of its preparation, adding he may trial the horse before its next race start. Tertiary (NZ)  When questioned as to the poor performance of Tertiary, Jockey J Morris stated that the horse only travelled fairly in the early and middle stages and leaving the 600m was under pressure and failed to respond to his riding. He also added that the mare may not have handled the impost of 59 kgs today and also the removal of blinkers may have been a contributing factor to its poor performance. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities at the time of examination.   Gold Coast  25/10/2014
