Minkus  When questioned regarding the performance of the horse, rider A. Endless Puzzle  Bumped on jumping. Steadied from heels near 800m. Questioned re tactics between 400m and 500m. Rider stated when positioned off the fence behind the leaders the horse forward off him was racing in a loose one off position. Therefore reluctant to shift wider to improve as he thought he would be taken wider rounding the home turn. Waited for that horse to shift out which it did near 400m. Attempted to improve inside of that horse however leader on fence shifted out at same point and was dissapointed for that run and was held up until entering the home straight. Grawlix  Questioned re tactics - instructed mare was one paced and not to get held up. Therefore reluctant to restrain to tail of field in early stages which resulted in her being placed 3 wide. Attempted to restrain to take cover in middle stages but slow tempo prevented her from doing so. Placed mare under pressure leaving 1000m in attempt to track the winner but it failed to quicken and was then forced wider near the 500m and only finished the race off fairly.
