Water Boy (NZ)  Rider questioned re performance stated the gelding was taken wider passing the 700m and was then forced to steady from the heels of another runner. Rider added the gelding was then momentarily held up rounding the home turn when the eventual winner ELJETEM improved to his inside. Rider further added the gelding then commenced to finish the race off well before being inconvenienced near the 100m after improving onto the heels of LA SPIAGGIA and then went to the line without being fully tested.   Gold Coast  29/04/2015

Arrow  Questioned re: performance - rider stated mount travelled at rear of field behind a strong tempo in early and middle stages. Gelding failed to sprint when placed under pressure upon straightening and was very dissapointing. Trainer stated gelding had worked well leading into race and was confident of its chances. Only excuse he could offer was that it did not appreciate 59kg impost. Undertook to provided stewards with results of blood tests and if they would clear would look to step gelding up in distance. Pepstep  Rider questioned re performance jcckey stated that mare failed to respond when placed under pressure from the 600m onwards and proved dissapointing. Trainer stated a virus had recently gone through his stable and thought mare may be suffering from the effects of a virus and as such would spell the mare immediately. Real Gene (NZ)  Rider questioned re disappointing performance stated with the addition of blinkers today the filly when leading during the middle stages overraced, which resulted in it weakening over the concluding stages.
