Revelio  Rider T. Harrison reported that the gelding was inclined to lay in under pressure for the majority of the home straight. Trainer T. Bailey reported to stewards following the race that the gelding returned after the race with its tongue over the bit and felt that this was the reason for the gelding weakening over the concluding stages. examination revealed the filly to have bled from one nostril.

Eastern Prince  Raced wide throughout. Rider could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance. A post race veterinary examination revealed mild lameness in the off foreleg. Trainer was advised that she must supply a veterinary certificate prior to the gelding racing again. Trainer undertook to have further veterinary tests carried out and will report the findings to stewards.

Florida Fellow  When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding
apprentice N. Masuda stated that his mount travelled comfortably in the early and
middle stages however felt to peak on its run at the 200m and weakened in its
run to the line. N. Masuda added his mount was freshened up for todays event
and may have appreciated a shorter journey. When questioned trainer Mr B. Guy
stated that he is of the opinion that the gelding did not handle the shifty track

conditions. A post race veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any
abnormality.

Chophouse Tears  Overraced early and middle stages. Was inclined to shift out when under pressure over the final 200m. Jockey N. Te Rux  Slow to begin. When questioned regarding the performance, A Cavallo
stated the gelding never handled the soft track conditions at any stage and was then
inclined to lay in under pressure in the straight. A post race veterinary examination
revealed no abnormalities. Stable representative D Fischer concurred with the
thoughts of A Cavallo that the gelding had not handled the soft track conditions and
advised the stable would now look to avoid rain affected tracks in future.
