Red Hot Element  Connections advised that the horse would be ridden in a midfield position with cover if circumstances permit. The horse was ridden accordingly. Vintage Choice  Questioned re: performance - rider stated mount was first up today and has failed to perform when first up in the past. Inclined to lay out from 600m until rounding home turn and in doing so gave ground to the leaders and then failed to sprint as expected in the straight. Jack Be Fast  Raced very greenly in the early stages and from the 800m commenced to weaken and took no competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Special Jay  Held up rounding the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight. Flying Labelle  Tightened for room at the start and had to be steadied. Raced greenly throughout the event and near the 900m shifted in making heavy contact with the running rail, causing the rider to check his mount and lose ground. Trainer K. Schweida was advised that a warning would be placed on the horse's racing manners.

Court the Geisha  Upon arriving on course stable advised that filly had pulled a shoe earlier that morning and could not be replated. Stewards acceded to a request that the filly race bare behind. Jockey dropped his whip near the 150m. Jockey reported that despite travelling comfortably during the early and middle stages the filly failed to sprint in today's heavy conditions.  Gold Coast  25/07/2015

Casino Bride  Inclined to overrace in the early stages. Unable to improve rounding the home turn when held up on heels. Near the 300m was eased when momentarily tightened between runners.
