God's Law  Began awkwardly and lost ground, tailed the field and failed to take a competitive part in the event. Rider stated that his mount was disappointing and he was of the belief that the stable intended to geld the colt and send it for an immediate spell. Stewards advised that the colt would be required to officially trial to stewards' satisfaction prior to its next start. Super Force (NZ)  When questioned, rider M. Bell stated that his intention was not
necessarily to lead today and after beginning well he elected to take a sit behind the
leaders. He stated that he thought the gelding travelled well throughout the run but was
disappointing in its failure to finish off the race. A post-race veterinary examination did
not reveal any abnormality.

Rowdy One  Whilst the stewards were satisfied that J. Lloyd's riding over the concluding stages did not affect his third placing, he was nevertheless charged and pleaded guilty to a charge of failing to ride his mount right out to the end of the race where in the opinion of the stewards it was reasonable for him to do so. J. Lloyd was fined $500.

Holy Toledo  Stood very awkwardly in its barrier stall, then was slow to begin. Appeared to take charge of its rider approaching the first turn, shifted out abruptly and then hung out badly for the remainder of the event. As the horse had previously offended, trainer R. Miss War Trace  Questioned re riding in home straight - rider stated obliged to press forward early to obtain lead. Once crossed to lead was galloped on a number of times by the horse behind. Due to work required to do in early stages and being galloped on mount shited out marginally under pressure leaving 300m allowing eventual winner to improved to his inside. Explanation noted. Post race veterinary examination revealed abrasions to its near hind leg consistent with being galloped on.   Gold Coast  22/08/2015

Masuda stated that he was caught three wide for the majority of the event, however was disappointed with the gelding's finishing effort. Landale  Overraced in the early and middle stages. When afforded an opportunity to comment on the seemingly improved performance, trainer K. Hickmott stated that the gelding performs best when able to lead, as was the case today where it began well and found the lead without being pressured.
