Rider added in early stages anticipated would be able to settle midfield position outside of FREEPORT, which he thought would cross to rail. However, when PUT YOUR HANDS UP improved to inside of FREEPORT he was going to be caught 3 wide so elected to restrain to get cover behind FREEPORT, which resulted in him racing further back in the field than anticipated. |

When questioned regarding the performance, Jockey J Taylor stated that he was disappointed in the gelding's finishing effort today. Jockey Taylor was of the view that the gelding would derive a fitness benefit from today after resuming from a spell. Jockey Taylor was also of the view that the gelding may improve when stepped up over further distances. |
