Choose a Saga  Stewards acceded to a request from trainer S. Ryan for the horse to race without a tongue-tie as this was the gelding's first start for his stable and had trialled without this gear. Had some difficulty obtaining clear running upon entering the home straight. When questioned regarding the tactics adopted, jockey G. Colless stated his instructions were to ride in a forward position, however after beginning only fairly was unable to muster sufficient early speed and therefore elected to take up a position towards the rear of the field.  Ipswich  19/06/2015

Miggeru  Vetted pre race after fractious in the barriers and dislodged its rider - cleared to race. Questioned re performance - rider stated horse travelled comfortably early and middle stages but when akes to sprint in the straight failed to respond and weakened over the final 100m. Rockleigh (NZ)  Upon straightening had to be steadied from the heels of FREEPORT. Rider questioned re performance - stated from wide barrier forced to settle further back than anticipated. Rider added gelding had commenced to improve into race however, its momentum was impeded when forced to steady from the heels of FREEPORT, which had broken down and as such was not overly disappointed with performance.  Gold Coast  7/11/2015

Majestic Sound  When questioned as to the tactics adopted, Jockey A Spinks stated he was instructed not to restrain the gelding as it had shown a tendency to over-race when restrained in its previous races. Jockey Spinks stated that as a result he allowed the gelding to stride forward in the early stages to obtain the lead and that passing the 600m it was inclined to hang out and continued to do so until after straightening which allowed LITTLE LONG HORN to improve to his inside. November Grey  Passing 300m eased and shifted in to avoid heels of another runner. Approaching 200m placed in restricted room and unable to be fully tested and then passing 200 was struck over the nose by another rider's whip before obtaining clear running.  Lismore  22/11/2015 
Palmera Lad  Questioned re riding early stages - App stated rode vigorously early in effort to get horse travelling as it had been slow to muster speed in previous starts. Approaching first turn happy to surrender lead to runners outside her but they were appeared content to remain to her outside which left her in the lead. Trainer advised instructions to be handy with cover from inside barrier. Stewards advised App that she had erred in riding her amount along for a considerable distance in early stages which resulted in the gelding settling in the lead in contrast to its established racing pattern.  Ipswich  18/11/2015

Where's Thatdragon  When asked to explain the horse's disappointing performance, M. Cahill stated that the mare hung out for a major part of the race and in the home straight and this prevented him from fully riding his mount out in his normal manner.
